Position Overview
The CMDB Asset Manager is responsible to establish a CMDB which will be used as a central repository for IT assets (Based on ServiceNow Platform CMDB capabilities). This will include endpoints, infrastructure equipment and network assets. By making sure CRH is in full control of our IT assets, we make sure our business operates in a sustainable way.
Next to developing and maintaining the CMDB, the CMDB asset manager ensures that IT assets are used most effectively and efficiently as possible. One of the primary goals of the role will be to design, develop and implement an effective asset management practice, including but not limited to establish an end-to-end process of monitoring and managing CRH's IT assets to ensure they are used, maintained, upgraded and at the end of its lifecycle eventually disposed of.
The CMDB asset manager will have to Design the Service delivery model relying on CRH partners to staff accordingly the team to render the service efficiently.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:

  • Facilitate and deliver the strategy for managing IT Assets
  • Establish, evaluate, implement and optimise (new) processes and tools to ensure the integrity and accuracy of IT assets and data
  • Deliver creation of CMDB which creates insights and transparency within IT estate
  • Strive to have trustworthy data by making sure CMDB captures all IT assets within the scope of your responsibility
  • Maximize value we get from our hardware assets
  • Keep track of IT assets usage and provide management reports on under- or over utilization
  • Be the subject matter expert for all hardware asset related topics
  • Lead and supervise team of (outsourced) hardware asset management analysts in charge of asset Lifecycle management and remediation
  • Offer guidance and provide direction to the team
  • Provide management reports regarding risks, compliance and trends which require action
  • Lead and support improvement activities through asset management and service delivery improvements
  • Enable operational efficiency and cost reduction
  • Liaise with IT Security and help detect unauthorized or unusual usage patterns
  • Facilitate M&A activities

Experience / Education
You are/have:

  • In Depth Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB Capabilities (5 years+)
  • In depth (5 years+) knowledge and working experience in an IT Asset Management related field
  • BSc level of education
  • Working in cross-functional teams on a European or Global level
  • IT asset management and Discovery Tools experiences (in particular ServiceNow)

  • Management of the delivery of our Europe IT hardware asset management strategy
  • Work with IT Teams, ServiceNow Practice and hardware asset management analysts
  • Develop team members and provide direction
  • Aim for sustainable usage of our IT assets and align with our Europe Green IT Sustainability goals
