Your profile

As a business analyst you understand customers’ requirements perfectly and are able to translate this into smart software. There are a few things you like more than diving into the information available to ensure you get absolute clarity and that the development team can get to work. You estimate the work with your team. Together with the product manager and the development team, you define the scope of a project, document the scope in the form of backlog items, prioritize work and ensure that the teams of developers and testers, among others, understand the backlog items. You maintain contact with stakeholders, such as product management, customers, support, development teams and management. You will be responsible for our Formulation products (WinOpti, WebOpti and Optifeed).

Next to that you are also the product specialist for our customers. That means you are the first point of contact for questions from Agribusiness parties. You are handling second-line questions and wishes from them and the administrative handling thereof. You are involved in the implementation of our products. Next to that also creating manuals and other instructional materials for proper onboarding of new customers.

Other responsibilities will be:

• Carrying out information analyses to ensure that customer requirements are translated into new products, product modifications and product expansion;
• Drawing up the correct software specifications in user stories;
• Drawing up test scenarios and testing the software against functional requirements;
• Specifying requirements and guidelines for the implementation and practical phases;
• Answering questions about the software upon request and analyzing data if required;
• Monitoring progress in the company’s own projects.

The following statements could be written about you:

• Work and think at a Higher Professional Educational level;
• Demonstrable roots in and knowledge of cattle feeding;
• Affinity with IT is a definite requirement;
• You are analytical, critical and above all proactive;
• If you already have experience in with working with Agile/Scrum this would be an advantage;
• You are fluent in speaking Dutch and English.

Our offering

The software development teams (scrum teams) are divided in different sectors; Formulation, Cows, Finance, Pigs and Crops. Each scrum team is responsible for their own product serving farmers all over Europe. Each team consists of a business analyst, between 1 to 6 software developers and the larger teams have a dedicated tester.

The software development teams are part of the Innovations department of AgroVision, consisting of about 60 colleagues, working from Belgium, Denmark and the Netherlands.

In addition to your primary salary, you get 30 vacation days per year. You receive 8% holiday pay in May and regardless of the company performance, we are offering a fixed bonus of 8% to all employees, paid in November (13 th month).

You get the flexibility to work 40% of your working hours from home.
