Key Responsibilities:

• Works with labour providers to ensure performance and safety expectations are complied with, while managing cost.
• Ensures processing of all inbound and outbound cargo/, the yard and equipment is timely and accurate.
• Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow.
• Coordinates and communicates daily quality, cost, and service objectives to other key areas of the Business unit.
• Has responsibility for the overall performance of the distribution center. Plans, organizes staff, directs, and controls all office and warehouse activities. Assists senior management in establishing warehouse performance objectives and standards. Has accountability for achieving prescribed company objectives with regard to cost, productivity, accuracy, and customer service. Responsible for managing all aspects of customer requirements including, but not limited to, inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, P&L responsibility, rate requirements and development of incentive programs.
• Operations: Ensures the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, and equipment in a profitable manner
• Plans, directs and implements warehouse operations, procedures and support to meet prescribed productivity and service levels
• Customer Service: Maintains a professional and courteous relationship with all customers (internal and external)Establishes programs to improve customer awareness at all levels in the organization/
• Maintains records and reports to ensure customer service levels are being met
• Develops and maintains strong partnership with customers and vendors in order to achieve financial results
• Inventory Management: Ensures all customers objectives and standards are met in regards to inventory accuracy. Has accountability for the inventory assets of the facility as it pertains to loss/damage
• Safety/Housekeeping: Develops, implements, and maintains appropriate programs to ensure that all safety and housekeeping standards and objectives are met
• Ensures compliance to regulations in regards to safety certification of forklift drivers, and OSHA guidelines

We are looking for:

• Previous experience within Air Freight
• A strong commercial sense and push towards tangible financial result, with a track record of success reaching and going beyond financial results forecasts.
• Customer focus.
• Drive, ability to self start as well as manage and motivate others.
• Strong communication skills, across seniority levels within and outside the organization.
• Prior experience in terms of P&L ownership and managing budget.
• Solid understanding of operational and performance metrics.
• Previous proven experience in retail / fulfilment Warehousing.
• Previous exposure to international operations, and ability to effectively navigate within a diverse, global business.
• Fluent English.
