As a Routing Analyst you're responsible to provide Spring Europe and the Routing Manager with data analysis on different sides supporting business and logistic decisions.

As a Routing Analyst you're responsible to provide Spring Europe and the Routing Manager with data analysis on different sides supporting business and logistic decisions. You're responsible to run existing models and create new ad hoc ones with the purpose of represent effects of changes in the Network. Shares responsibility on management and changes in the Ecommerce Routing Matrix, implementation of changes derived by business decisions or local Commercial strategies.

In this role you're a part of Cross Border Solutions (CBS). CBS is the business unit of PostNL which provides international delivery solutions to businesses worldwide. CBS makes it easy for people and businesses to communicate and trade across international boundaries. It aims to become the most respected service provider by supporting the cross border e-commerce market through creative and innovative distribution solutions. 

It holds 13 offices worldwide and with 1,200 employees, being agile, customer focused and reliable it serves business over 190 countries. The Central Management Team and departments like Spring, NL Export, Supply chain and supporting departments like Strategy, IT, HR, Finance are located at PostNL's Head Office in The Hague (the Netherlands).

Main responsibilities in this role

• To analyse on network optimization: new contracts, new services, mix of services in the routing matrix, linehaul matrix, Xdocks and transport synergies, handling procedures
• To help in analysis on productivity, creation of new model for the analysis of marginality within Spring Europe
• To help local Commercial/Sales Teams in day to day rates creation. Explanation of Tools, models, costs, support in creating rates/ratecards or definition of a pricing strategy. Collection of rates, keeping trace of main/strategic customers and rates and avoiding margin erosion for cross national customers
• To support the Routing manager in creation of new models for optimization and automation of processes. Costs calculation, optimization of routings for contracts and linehauls, Quote Model
• To support the Routing Manager with multiple side projects owned by/shared with the Network&Optimization department, analyzing numbers related to logistical and operational processes and sustaining business decisions
  
  

• Academic level of thinking and working
• At least 3 years of working experience at required level
• GCSE A level Maths or equivalent
• Fluent (written & verbal) in English and preferably a second European language
• Basic knowledge of the international E-commerce business 
• Cooperative and sensitive and eager to learn
• Logistical knowledge and/or work experience  
• Excellent analytical skills  
• You are internationally oriented  

• A salary of minimum €3.252,- to maximum €4.927,- gross per month based on a full-time contract of 37 hours (in accordance with scale 9 CAO PostNL)
• 25 vacation days for full-time employment, a variable profit allowance and a favorable pension plan
• A laptop and a phone
• 8% vacation pay
