Corporate Controller

As member of the Cost control team, you will be part of the team that is responsible for all indirect costs (Corporate Center, CCO and IT) within DLL. This role will focus on the Global IT costs with a specific focus on the Americas regions and requires a smooth communicator as a bulk of his/her time will be spent interacting directly with their different stakeholders and working on several different finance projects. In this role you will take a lead role in preparing / will be focusing with the team on providing reliable financial reporting to stakeholders, signaling opportunities for cost optimization and look for continuous process improvements.

Day to day:

  • Financial reporting: Prepare and present cost-related reports and financial performance updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Forecasting and budgeting: Lead the development of annual cost budgets and forecasts in collaboration with senior & department leadership teams. Monitor actual costs against budgets and provide regular variance analysis.
  • Finance & Control Policies and Guidelines: ensuring that finance & control policies and guidelines regarding indirect cost management are issued within DLL Group in line with developments at Rabobank and external regulations. Propose, determine and implement policies and guidelines for appropriate cost allocation and cost management reporting within DLL;
  • Financial analysis & advice: ensuring correctly interpreted figures delivered by all DLL entities and in-depth financial analysis on indirect cost management, within the guidelines of Rabobank & DLL, in order to provide Group Finance (and business) management with reliable information for decision making.
  • Financial monitoring: monitoring completeness and correctness of bookings and adjust accordingly. This in close corporation with accounting and business departments;
  • The further development of the effective financial model resulting in a pay per use charge towards the network;
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess reporting, processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and automation together with the local finance team and Group Procurement.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to align cost management efforts with overall business objectives.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Finance, Accounting or related study
  • A least 5 years of experience in a financial reporting function, preferably within the Financial Services industry
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills , along with the ability to identify, frame and resolve issues.
  • Potential and eagerness to further develop within the (finance) organization.
  • Proven ability to package and present information in an executive format.
  • Proactive self-starter, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive, results-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Capable of managing multiple deliverables within agreed time frames.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word, as well other reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Proactive /self-starter
