With our products we support our customers on a daily basis to improve their operations and to solve complex problems. We are looking for a new colleague to join our Basecone product team in the Tax & Accounting Europe Tech division. Basecone is a successful and fast growing SaaS solution to automate manual accounting tasks like data collection and data entry and is one of our key pillars in our European Online Accounting portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • As an experienced product owner you will be part of our Basecone product team and will lead one or (temporarily) two agile development teams. Your team consist of frontend & backend engineers and dedicated QAs, who are based in Portugal and India, and you will be supported by our UX and Operations chapters. The team currently has a focus on authentication, authorization and onboarding flows but teams increasingly work across multiple domains.
  • The Product Owner role is an important role at Wolters Kluwer and you will have accountability and decision making responsibility how products are developed.
  • You will be in the driving seat together with the Product Manager, and act as the voice of the customer and other stakeholders towards your team.
  • You are responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog of your team so that we effectively built our solutions for our customers while maintaining technical integrity.
  • You incorporate customer and stakeholder feedback continuously, ensuring top-notch software quality. You ensure alignment across teams, provide demo’s to our internal stakeholders and customers, support product management with the go-to-market of new functionality and inspire your colleagues with your product development & innovation know-how.

Requirements

Your are a passionate and communicative strong leader with solid experience as a (digital) product owner. You have experience with digitization and automation and love to operate at the intersect of business and IT. You have a creative and positive mindset and love to explore opportunities to make things better and smarter. In addition:

  • Self-starter and result-oriented
  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant area
  • A proven track record as product owner with experience in a B2B environment and SaaS product development
  • Experience with (SAFe) Agile frameworks & methodologies and Jira
  • Excellent in English speaking an writing
  • Willingness to travel to Porto occasionally (or other locations if required)
  • Experience in accounting software or related fields is considered to be a plus but not a must have requirement
