VILS is seeking a skilled Project Management Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in our expanding portfolio of Fast Track projects. This multifaceted role is comprised of 75% project management and 25% project management officer responsibilities.

As a Project Manager, you ensure that your EPC(M) project is delivered within the specified timelines and budget , adhering to pre-established quality agreements. As a PMO, you will be instrumental in setting up and leading our project management office to ensure the successful execution of various engineering and construction projects in life sciences.

Your responsibilities encompass the following key areas:

• Ensure that your EPC(M) project is delivered within the specified timelines and budget, adhering to pre-established quality agreements.
• The coordination of all steps in the project, from Process Concept to completion.
• Drafting and verifying the schedule, budget, and quality, ensuring a constant balance among them.
• Monitoring the financial progress of a project and making adjustments as necessary.
• You collaborate closely with your client, external parties, contractors, and, of course, your own project team.
• Establish and monitor PM standards and best practices.
• Source and assign the appropriate Project Managers to EPC and EPCM projects.
• Consolidate all project plans into a comprehensive capacity plan.
• Conduct a thorough analysis of the capacity plan and upcoming projects, evaluating existing resources and team composition. Collaborate with HR to facilitate the recruitment of suitable individuals.
• Define in close cooperation with the controlling manager operational controlling standards and ensure their implementation.
• Oversee the Project Management Tooling.
• Ensure consistent project management practices across multiple entities in various countries and contribute to "Lessons Learned" sessions.
• Provide support to project managers in preparing and managing project plans, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management.
• Ensure project managers meet project objectives and deliverables within the designated timeframe and budget.
• Generate regular reports on project progress, incorporating KPI’s and other pertinent statistics. Act as the management contact for reporting purposes.
• Identify potential project bottlenecks and propose viable solutions at the Project Management Level to enhance project efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

We are in search of an experienced PMO professional who retains a desire to engage in operational project management activities. The ideal candidate should possess the ability to leverage their project management expertise to meticulously examine and improve project plans, with a specific focus on the engineering or construction sector.

Key qualifications include:

• Flexibility to seamlessly integrate both Project Management (PM) and Project Management Officer (PMO) responsibilities.
• Some years of relevant experience as a PMO manager, preferably in a technical project environment (not in IT).
• Excellent and pragmatic knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Proactive attitude, independence, organizational skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.
• Fluency in Dutch and English is essential due to our international clientele. French or German are nice to have.
• Dedication to excellence and continuous improvement, with a willingness to share knowledge within the team.
• Ability to connect various stakeholders to achieve project goals within specified deadlines and expectations.
• Skill in building and leading diverse teams with individuals of varying roles and characters.
• Regular Travel abroad is expected
