Finance Manager


We have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our team as a hands-on Financial Manager/Controller with regard to two Dutch entities and one German legal entity. The focus of the position is operational with the following responsibilities:

Key areas of responsibility
  • Managing a small finance team for 3 legal entities
  • Ensure correct and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closing of the books and reporting, according to local law & IFRS
  • Fully responsible for financial reporting and balance sheet,
  • Tax compliancy (incl. intercompany transfer pricing)
  • Manage VAT declarations in Europe, partly as service for foreign group companies
  • Prepare all supporting information for the (annual) audits and (income) tax declarations
  • Responsible for the payroll and salary administration of our EU employees
  • Maintain cash flow by monitoring banking activity and reconciling monthly/yearly reports
  • Lead and develop the financial planning & reporting process, improve the company budget system and identify potential areas of cost savings within the local departments
  • maintain and improve the administrative organization and internal control
  • Contribute as a key member of the Plant Management Team, Pension and CLA committee, etc
  • Participate as a (financial) spokesperson to the Works Council and Labor Unions
  • First point of contact with regard to auditors, tax and insurance
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any relevant field
  • Proven operational skills in a business to business environment,
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Thorough understanding of F&A, Tax and Payroll processes in European countries
  • Professional and assertive presence, showing confidence and gaining respect
  • Good communication skills, both in writing and speaking– persuasive, clear, appropriate.
  • Language requirements: Dutch and English on a professional level, German basic business understanding. (Mandarin Chinese is a big plus).
  • Strong knowledge of the (Dutch) pension system and Collective Labor Agreements
  • Planning and decision making: analytical, decisive, aware of constraints/opportunities, lateral thinking
