You and your job In this position, you are part of the Group Steering team along with seven other colleagues, with which you'll be closely work and collaborate. Our team is part of the Portfolio Management department (Corporate Development-CFO domain), responsible for advising the Management Board and Committees of Rabobank on strategic topics such as capital and steering related topics, portfolio composition and pricing framework. Your primary responsibility involves assessing and navigating the implications of new Basel 4 regulations. Operating in this dynamic and strategic function, you will give strategic advice at the Rabobank Group level and you will closely collaborate with different business units in the bank. Your focus centers on analyzing how the Basel 4 framework impacts Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and guiding businesses toward the most effective use of capital. You create impact with your leadership skills and your ability to think outside the box and understand the key strategic drivers that determine the direction of the bank. About the Group Steering team within Portfolio Management (PM); this is one of the pillars from the Corporate Development department, along with Strategy, Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (CM&A) and Rabo Fund Management (RFM) Practical Examples You will work in one of the most dynamic departments of the bank Using your analytical skills to perform analysis on the drivers of capital increase and suggesting mitigation actions to the relevant business lines. Combining estimations of Basel 4, new models and MTP figures into multiple year capital and return forecasts for the entire bank. Top 3 responsibilities Perform in depth portfolio analysis to estimate and forecast the impact of new regulations (Basel 4/CRR3 and EBA guidelines), model changes and add-ons on the capital usage for the entire bank. Provide insights and develop mitigating measures to reduce the impact and support businesses in this process. Your knowledge of capital regulation (Basel IV) is relevant for bank steering. With you as associate in the Group Steering you are part of a team that consists of six dedicated colleagues that work together with other departments across the bank to translate multiple strategic perspectives into portfolio steering decision, leading to sound proposals on strategic asset allocation. An example of this is how to allocate scarce resources (funding, capital, sustainability objectives) strategically within the bank. You and your talent If you are interested, it is important that you recognise some of the following below: Relevant Master’s degree and excellent academic results At least 3+ years of relevant work experience in a quantitative area of banking, financial services, and/or modelling Analytical mindset, and affinity with data analytics (SQL/Excel/PowerBI) Influencing and distinctive communication and presentation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong networking and relationship building skills. This is what we offer you Salary in Rabobank’s scale 9 (between € 4.000 / € 5.500 gross per month, depending on the relevant experience that you bring); Thirteenth month's salary & 8% holiday allowance; Extra Employee Benefit Budget (EBB) of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion; Travel allowance.
