Your job

As an Analyst, you'll be responsible for various projects and tasks:

  • Responding to questions from (external) stakeholders regarding (individual) provisions, files and portfolio and translating them into structural improvements.
  • Continuously improving the (individual) provisions methodology, Individual Provisioning System tool (IPS), processes and data reports & analyses.
  • Elevating the knowledge of the officers at FR&R concerning (individual) provisions methodology through knowledge sessions/training.
  • Creating analyses and visualisations that provide an accurate view of the portfolio for the FR&R officers and the Management Team.
  • Achieving improvements in analyses, reports, visualisations and contributing to enhancing data quality and a data driven mindset.

Your conclusions and recommendations will serve to advise and support the Management Team in making strategic decisions for the future of FR&R and ABN Amro. Additionally, your analyses, reports and visualisations will guide the Management Team in discussions with regulators.
Furthermore, you'll have various projects where your support is expected, such as addressing
questions from the European Central Bank and specific 'deep dive' projects requiring your expertise for detailed queries.

Working environment

FR&R is responsible for high-risk credits within ABN Amro, operating in a dynamic environment where customer relationships, risk management and interactions with both internal and external stakeholders (including regulators, advisors and other units within ABN Amro) are crucial. FR&R aims to guide customers through challenging times to create value together. FR&R aspires to restore the financial and strategic health of our customers while minimising losses and capital costs for ABN Amro. We also consider our societal role as a bank and adapt to market developments in our field.

The Data & Analytics team within FR&R shapes and implements a strategy to make the department’s activities as data-driven as possible or to support them with data analytics. Data & Analytics fosters a 'data & analytical mindset' and competence across entire FR&R, all through the Agile Way of Working. The core activities of Data & Analytics align with legal requirements and ABN Amro's strategy.

As an Analyst, you are part of the Data & Analytics team of FR&R, which currently consists of 25 members. We are a new, youthful, and dynamic team characterised by strong collaboration. Enjoying our work is a priority, as we enthusiastically engage in various data and analytics activities that strengthen the bank.

Your profile

Education at a minimum of an HBO level, preferably in a financial/economic field.

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in projects.
  • Knowledge of Credit Risk and/or Financial Risk.
  • Knowledge and experience in drafting reports and memos for internal and external parties (including legislators).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills and adept at stakeholder management.
  • Curious and creative by nature.
  • Experience with project-based work in a complex organization.
  • Results-oriented, conscientious and pragmatic.
  • Proficiency in the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Based on (working) experience and profile Hay 9 is also an opportunity.
