Global Network Manager

As a Global Network Manager responsible for International Payments, Cash & Securities Clearing businesses, you could make a difference by managing and strengthening a portfolio of Rabobank’s strategic ‘Business Partner’ bank and market infrastructure relationships.

You and your job
Being a Global Cash & Custody Network Manager also demands active alignment and dialogue with a broad set of external & internal stakeholders (including overseas Rabobank branches) ranging from client facing/product teams, operations, risk, compliance, legal and technology teams. Furthermore, the role of Global Network Manager is evolving along with the overall transformation currently taking place within the financial services industry. Therefore, we would expect you to also follow market developments in the areas of Blockchain; Fintechs; Sustainability and Regulation.

Get results
  • Manage risks by identifying market and operational risks and address them accordingly;
  • Instigate and drive change based upon investigation & analysis of new and emerging markets, opportunities & restrictions based upon the business needs of our internal stakeholders.
  • Onboard and/or offboard Service Providers or Business Partners such as: Securities and Cash/Clearing
  • Participate in and represent Rabobank’s interests within various relevant industry bodies and forums.
  • Steer our Banking network performance management based upon Key Performance Indicators and dynamic data such as: transaction volumes, pricing, service levels etc.

Top 5 Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with external Service Providers or Agents to provide transparency, governance, and control over external accounts & assets held by Rabobank entities globally.
  • Take ownership of communicating to stakeholders regarding network strategy, market & regulatory changes impacting Rabobank’s business and its clients.
  • Regularly assess and evaluate the performance of existing Network of Rabobank’s correspondent banking partners.
  • Manage risks by identifying market and operational risks and address them accordingly.
  • Act as a point of escalation and resolution for Service Provider performance or Service Level issues on an ongoing basis; escalating issues as required with Service Providers or Agents or at all levels of the Management chain.

The 6 team members within Global Network Management support Rabobank’s local and global ambitions by creating and managing best of breed strategic Financial Institution partnerships. These consist of various Service Providers, for example, Cash Agents, Custodians, Issuing & Paying, Agents & Markets Infrastructures in the areas of Wholesale Cash, Securities and Derivatives businesses respectively and for the processing of our client and financial market activities. Working together is the way we work; as one results-oriented and entrepreneurial Global Network Management team at Rabobank.

You and your talent
  • Master’s degree or equivalent comparable working experience.
  • Relationship management and Project Management skills.
  • Knowledge of risk & compliance activities within wholesale international financial markets.
  • Extensive knowledge in the Payments Industry with a focus on Cash Clearing & Payments market infrastructures.
  • High-level knowledge/experience in Securities Clearing and Settlements involving Clearing & Settlement Depositories, Custodians, etc is a plus.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g. Microsoft Power BI) and a data-driven mindset.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, creating efficiency and optimizing Rabobank’s Network of cash clearing partners.
  • Organizing Due Diligence checks and executing RFI/RFP processes for appointing new strategically important correspondent banking partners for Rabobank.
  • Able to successfully promote partnerships, and encourage collaboration, information sharing, and discussion by representing Rabobank in Payment Industry forums.
  • Dutch and English language skills.
  • Essential skills for the role: agility, creativity, judgment & decision-making, service orientation and negotiation.

This Is What We Offer You

  • A salary between € 4.068,63 and € 5.811,03 gross per month (scale 9)
  • An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • A combination of working from home and at the office .
  • A budget of € 750- to set up your home working space and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40-
