We are currently recruiting for a Reward Specialist for our Human Resources Division in Amsterdam .

The MBE subsidiary based in The Netherlands is a network of branches (Germany Branch (Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich), Spain Branch (Madrid, Barcelona), Belgium Branch (Brussels), Austria Branch (Vienna)), managed from Amsterdam.

You will support the Reward Director of MUFG Bank Europe (MBE) through business analysis and support for a variety of key remuneration processes and initiatives across MUFG (MBE and MUS(EU) primarily) in order to contribute to the creation of a successful high performance culture.

The EMEA Reward team is responsible for managing the remuneration processes and broader compensation matters across the Securities International and Bank EMEA business; including Bonus and Salary modelling, supporting the business in the respective allocations in line with local regulations, performing market analysis and providing remuneration related regulatory returns. The team aims to provide sound expert advice to both HR and business colleagues, and to deliver processes that support the development of a high performing culture.

The role includes the following:

  • Provide support in the delivery of the annual compensation review, including liaising with the business heads and the HR Business Partners to deliver a successful year end process.
  • Prepare regulatory disclosures and provide input into the Annual report and Pillar 3 on remuneration items.
  • Lead on regular salary and benefits benchmarking exercises to ensure appropriate and robust market data is available for supporting compensation decisions and advising the business on key hires.
  • Support the Material Risk Taker (MRT) Identification process in line with latest EU and Dutch regulation.
  • Stay abreast of EU regulation and ensure policies and practice is fully aligned. This includes completing an annual review of Reward Policies and gap analysis to identify any changes required.
  • Support or lead on reward projects, including new reward initiatives from the local business or Global Reward.
  • Design and complete analysis to provide scenarios and solutions to the Management Board.
  • Prepare clear presentations for senior stakeholder including Management Board / Supervisory Board.
  • Regular liaison with Finance regarding the bonus accrual, deferral schedules and other compensation matters.
  • Support the annual audit of remuneration and ensuring any findings are addressed and closed during the year
  • Provide day to day support to HR Business Partners on reward matters ensuring all reward governance is appropriately followed.

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

Skills and experience:

  • Professional Human Resources/business certification or equivalent industry experience desired.
  • 2-4 years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of Reward within financial services.
  • Experience of working with and delivering for multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of analysing data and presenting trends and themes in order to inform HR and business decisions.
  • Experience of working in a multi-national organization.
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, able to adapt style and tone to suit the audience.
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organisational skills with experience in managing multiple deliverables, deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates an ability to prioritise a challenging workload and act with urgency, delivering to multiple, sometimes tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take the initiative and be pro-active.
  • Team player and enjoy collaborating within the team.
  • Strong interest in Performance and Reward with a passion for making a difference.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build & manage relationships, as well as influence.

  • Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market
