We are currently recruiting for an AML & Sanctions Analyst in our Commercial Support Office in Amsterdam .

You will be supporting all aspects of Transaction Monitoring to include the fulfilment of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Risk Assessments.

You will work closely with the customer-facing teams (Corporate and Financial Institutions) and Trade Finance team and KYC team to ensure that transactions are reviewed on AML and Sanctions risks and deliver high quality assessments about clients, products and country risks and ensure that these assessments are compliant with regulatory standards in a timely manner.

The function forms part of the CSO AML & Sanctions team which is responsible for review, control and independently review clients and transactions on CDD, AML and Sanctions risk.

The role includes the following:

  • Working closely with the other teams in MUFG Bank Europe (Front office, Trade Finance and Compliance) to collect the required documentation and associated information to make a quality assessment in line policies and procedures
  • Handle all administrative tasks owned by CSO AML & Sanctions: Regular reporting, ad-hoc investigations, perform ML and Sanctions screening on Trade Finance transactions, Transaction Monitoring, CMD ETP and Client screening.
  • Act as inputter and verifier
  • Track and respond to inquiries related to documentation status.
  • As and when required provide support to small projects and/or input to wider business projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the completion of the team’s workload

In order to be successful in the role, you will need the following:

  • The function requires knowledge at MBO or HBO level and wide practical experience across a number of financial services disciplines.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements in the Netherlands.
  • Work experience with other Financial Institution(s) in Europe is a plus.
  • Transaction Monitoring and Trade Finance products.
  • Microsoft office products especially Excel.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Dutch or Japanese are a plus
