Job Description:

As our Senior Scrum Master, you will be facilitating the Delivery Teams and organization in applying the Agile Way of Working to achieve an optimized workflow through continuous improvement.

You will work on continuously improving the Delivery Teams to deliver results, become more self-organized. You will train, coach and develop the Delivery Teams in the Agile Way of Working and help them understand and perform their roles. You proactively:

Steer upon KPI’s (e.g., team happiness, productivity, quality, time to market and value) to continuously increase team performance.

We also expect you to:

  • Contribute to continuously improving the value stream by improving processes, tools and remove waste
  • Remove the impediments in the Delivery Teams and organization
  • Help Product Owners and the Delivery Teams to make work transparent and communicate effectively
  • proactively contribute to the Scrum Center of Expertise and Agile Center of Expertise
  • Prepare for Planning Event, draft and review release plans, coordinate with other teams, and create Team objectives
  • Facilitate Team events, work within the same cadence as the other Teams and collaborate with the Product Owner
  • Establish the Team Scrum/Kanban board, measure and optimize flow and build in quality (through Quality by Design)
  • Foster and support Agile Team attributes, encourage high-performing team dynamics and foster collaboration on the Team
  • Coach, resolve team conflicts and develop team skillsets
  • Facilitate cross-team collaboration, build trust with stakeholders, help the team to inspect and adapt and facilitate problem-solving.

NIBC is currently in the midst of an Agile Transformation. This next phase of the transformative journey is a strategic initiative aimed at preparing NIBC for future challenges and opportunities. It ensures that we are well-organized to enable the ambitions of both our clients and NIBC at a faster pace while also ensuring we can meet our increasing regulatory obligations. Currently we are looking for colleagues who are ready to join a team of 7 Scrum Masters to support us in implementing the Agile WoW (Way of Working) model across the organization. The Scrum Master team will be positioned within the CTO domain and will be coaching different CTO Delivery T eams.

What do you bring?  

You are an experienced Scrum Master and: 

  • 5+ years working experience as a Scrum Master, applying Agile Way of Working principles 
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM) / Certified Scrum Master (SCM)
  • Professional Scrum Master – Advanced (PSM-A)
  • Affinity with supporting teams and personal development of team members
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict and problem-resolving skills
  • Great collaborator
  • Preferably experience and knowledge of applying Scrum, Kanban, Flow, Quality by Design methods
  • Self-starting, creative and solution driven
  • Effective communication skills (Dutch and English , both verbal and written)
