Job Description:

What will you do?

As the Vendor Manager, your role involves overseeing (strategic) vendor relationships to consistently deliver valuable services to NIBC. You'll ensure compliance with regulations, identify commercial prospects, and handle sourcing and delivery for internal needs.

Additionally, you take mitigation action in case of non-fulfillment of agreements and make sure all risks are controlled.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing vendor relations

  • Manage vendor contracts and ensure they are updated and renewed in a timely manner .
  • Lead negotiations to establish profitable contracts with (strategic) vendors .
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with vendors .
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop vendor performance metrics and track progress against them.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements .
  • Conduct vendor assessments to evaluate vendor capabilities and identify areas for improvement .
  • Ensure that vendor management files are compliant with regulations, such as EBA and DORA .

Maturing vendor management capability

  • Develop /renew and implement vendor management policies and procedures .
  • Identify opportunities to improve vendor management processes and implement best practices
  • Provide guidance and support to other teams on vendor management-related issues .

Your team

You will join our Vendor Management team within the CTO domain (IT, Data & Analytics and Operations) and be part of two other teams within the CTO Office. The Vendor Management team consists of five V endor M anagers who collectively oversee our organization's vendor landscape. Approximately 90% of these relationships are IT-related.

You handle pressure well, build vendor relationships quickly and manage stakeholders effectively. Moreover, you have a change-oriented mindset and are focused on enhancing our Vendor Management way of working.

What makes you eligible, is:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Supply Chain Management, or a related field .
  • At least 3 years of experience in Vendor Management, Contract Management, Supplier Management or Procurement .
  • Excellent social, communication and negotiation skills .
  • Track record in contract management and negotiating terms .
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders .
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken Dutch and English, our corporate languages. Solid understanding or keen interest in IT & Data.
  • Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work .
  • Drive to enhance the professional standard of our vendor management practices
