You and your job

Each day, you'll collaborate with Business Departments, IT experts, Senior Management, and IT Engineers, crafting robust defences against the threats of tomorrow. Your pragmatism and diverse interests enable you to grasp various business processes swiftly, translating your profound technical acumen in IT security into effective guidance.

In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the multiple business domains of Rabobank and their supporting IT systems, spanning internal and cloud-based services, and liaising with cutting-edge fintech companies. Your expertise will be crucial in advising our business units on specific security risks, articulated in clear, business-friendly language. You'll not only inform but also shape our security risk profile, keeping the business and management well-informed and ahead of potential threats.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our CISO office brings talented people together to protect the Rabobank. With you as security officer, the team will consist of 17 security experts.

These systems are both within our own data centers and increasingly as cloud services that we are using in collaboration with partners. You and your talent
Customer focus, critical thinking, clear communication, interpersonal skills are clearly essential for the role of security advisor. In addition, it's important that you recognise everything in the checklist below:

  • Certification & Training : Possess relevant certifications such as IT Audit, (ISC)² CISSP, or ISACA CISM, showcasing a robust foundation in IT security principles and practices.
  • IT Experience : Have a minimum of 5 years of working experience in an IT role, demonstrating a solid background in technology and systems management.
  • Security Expertise : Boast at least 3 years of experience specifically in an IT security function, indicating specialized skills in safeguarding digital environments.
  • Integrity & Confidentiality: Exhibit strong personal integrity and a proven ability to handle classified information, both within the banking environment and in trusted external communities.

This is what we offer you

  • a gross monthly salary between €3.959,- and €5.655,- (scale 9, 36 hours per week).
  • 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • an annual personal development/training budget of €1.400,-
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
  • a monthly €40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
  • a monthly €40,- net internet allowance.
  • Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
