The Quality Engineer, Senior i m plements and maintains ISO 9001 quality assurance protocols and methods across the organization. In this role you will design methods and procedures for maintaining and improving our global Quality Management System (QMS) . In addition, you will utilize your practical knowledge of business processes and quality auditing to anticipate and prepare for possible non-conformances of product design processes .

The ideal candidate has previously implemented an ISO system from the start, has successfully audited design processes, and has solid experience improving and maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts global internal ISO 9001 audit, training and external audits, as required.
  • Takes initiative to gather data through internal audits and other methods to investigate and timely close potential non-conformances. Collects data and uses data collected by others.
  • With minimal day to day instructions, conducts activities to support quality execution against key QMS performance metrics.
  • Regularly monitors/reviews business and operational processess to evaluate for continuous improvement opportunities. 
  • Acts as an advisor to less-senior technicians and/or engineers in vetting non-conformances.
  • Trains and mentors technicians and/or engineers by developing and deploying curricula.
  • Understands key QMS quality metrics and current performance levels. Uses technology to visually present data and analyses in meaninful ways.
  • Leverages tools to simplify complex data or information to improve comprehension. Takes the initiative to create resports to meaningfully represent business outcomes and drive decisions.
  • May or may not recommend new standard reports based on data trends. Routinely summarizes information, process improvement data, analyzes data, and makes recommendations to management. 
  • May respresent the unit on project teams. May perform in project leadership role on projects of limited scope and impact.
  • Assists in building accurate audit schedules.
  • Resolves a wide range of issues in innovative as well as practical ways.
  • Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
  • Interacts with management and external stakeholders on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years' work experience.
  • 5+ years' experience improving and maintaining ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems REQUIRED.
  • Education and training in quality principles REQUIRED.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools, such as Power BI REQUIRED
  • Ability to travel (approximately 10%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor training from an accredited organization.
  • Six Sigma training (GB/BB) or similar certification / training.
  • Demonstrated experience auditing a design process strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent auditing skills and ability to understand processes, and make continual improvement recommendations.
  • Demonstrates a high concern for detail, accuracy, and compliance to Company and Corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional groups.
  • Ability and comfortable working with individuals ranging from repair tech to senior director.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently under limited supervision.

Salary: USD 82500.00 - USD 123700.00 Yearly

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement. In most other roles, the Zebra annual cash incentive program links Company and individual performance together. Some roles may also be eligible for long-term incentive equity awards.
