Role description

  • As an HR/Office Manager you will have a crucial and hybrid role with a varied range of tasks. You will assist the management in achieving its strategic goals as well as running HR and Office related day to day operations in Amsterdam.

  • You will support in all aspects of our people’s careers, such as recruitment and selection, implementing HR policies and managing sick leave etc. In addition, you will ensure that the office is well organized. In short, you are the person people can rely on, both in their work and outside it. You are also the point of contact and confidant for the organization.

  • You will report to the Human Resources Officer Europe and the Chief Operating Officer.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Working closely with Management in achieving their objectives and ensuring the implementation of HR initiatives in a timely and effective manner.

  • Provide professional and operational HR support and advice on strategic and broad operational matters such as, but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, salary and bonus reviews, leave, and interpreting policies.

  • HR administration in Workday and managing other HR portals.

  • Advise management on employee relations issues ensuring that employees are treated fairly and consistently;

Next to these HR tasks, you will be in charge of office management - from facilities to general communicative tasks.

  • Oversee and ensure that the office operates efficiently.

  • Duties including but not limited to coordinating daily office administrative tasks, working with vendors and purchasing office- & pantry supplies, coordinate shipments including mail and couriers.

  • Point of contact for all facility suppliers.

  • Security 1st point of contact (manage daily reports and report problems directly to vendor).

  • Set up office and facility guidelines and ensure they are documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.

Required knowledge, skills and experience

  • Graduate, or educational background equivalent to a degree level, with HR/Office management experience gained in a professional services environment.

  • The person we are looking for will have very strong people skills, with the ability to build rapport and a strong working relationship with stakeholders from across our global business.

  • Creates a positive impact with colleagues, peers and clients and is able to demonstrate diplomacy, listening and influencing skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Team player who is proactive with a 'can do attitude'.

  • Pragmatic, diplomatic and resourceful, with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.

Other preferred skills

  • The job holder will have a high level of energy and drive. He/she will demonstrate a collaborative style, and will work as an effective team member who is able to build a network of credible relationships internally and externally in a multi-cultural environment.

  • We expect the HR part of the job to take up more of the working time so we are ideally looking for people with a background in HR, who appreciate the additional challenge of taking on this hybrid role.

  • Full-time employee.

  • Reports to COO and Human Resources Officer Europe

  • Located in Amsterdam (Netherlands).

  • We are happy to discuss flexible work arrangements but in this role, at least 3 days per week will need to be spent in the office.

  • Compensation in the range of €60,000 – €70,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
