The Business Analyst at DHL Global Forwarding reports directly to the Head of Control Tower and you will be working inhouse at the headquarters of our customer in Amsterdam for a large and important Tech customer.

In this role you will be working as an International Transportation Business analyst to analyze and implement International Transportation Data and Business Analytics plans to provide data that is accurate, congruent, reliable to guide and implement changes to the demand plan.

You will accumulate, analyze, forecast and report demand planning data and work with the internal stakeholders to recommend and implement changes to the demand plan.
While analysing data using various software, you determine company performance in order to aid planning and control. You will also be able to implement technical concepts and procedures.
In your role, you will prepare updates to strategic initiatives and will be able to report the company performance against its strategy. You communicate issues and provide recommendation s to management.

Key Tasks
• Accumulate, analyze, forecast, and report demand planning data and work with OTM team, regional operations and sourcing teams to recommend and implement changes to the demand plan
• Develop, interpret, and implement technical concepts and procedures that aid planning and control. Perform analysis using various software to determine company performance.
• Provide technical, system, and/or process expertise and recommendation s on company projects. Identify and implement projects that improve and/or automate current processes.
• Prepare updates to Strategic Initiatives communicating company performance against strategy
• Prepare business modeling analysis
• Identify system and process issues and develops recommendation s that improve business practices, enhance efficiencies, or strengthen regulatory and industry standard compliance.
• Analyze processes and identify opportunities for cost savings to client through process improvement/au tomation.
• Communicate issues and recommendation s to management
• Coordinate information gathering to prepare reports, analysis, and recommendation s
• Testing of automated systems, including development of test plans and scenarios, conducting of user testing and business process validation
• Assist with departmental and company-wide project implementation s, providing leadership and subject matter expertise
• Ensure compliance with procedures and quality standards and implement management directives

About you:
This role works with the customer at the customers facility and is part of the customers team as well as part of the DHL team. You have strong analytical skill and are able to find solutions by looking at data and have the communication skill to address this to your stakeholders.

You have:
• Strong analytical skills
• Preferred: 3- 5 years of import/export experience in either Air/Ocean freight forwarding
• Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within transportation industry.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills with a wide range of computer software programs including but not limited to the ability to write macros, complex formulas and file linking. Basic Phyton skills are a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills (oral and written) and analytical skills required.
• Advanced Excel computer skills (pivot table), Intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills basic to intermediate Tableau skills Intermediate to advanced power BI and Power suite.
