Manager Pension transformation and Compliance

Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Risk and Regulation (‘R&R’) team advises companies both in and outside of the financial sector. Are you interested in the digital and economic developments affecting the implementation of the Pension Agreement? Do you enjoy helping organisations and their staff successfully translate complex regulations into a new, more digitised design of processes, systems, controls, and data, enabling pensioners to receive a more personalised service at a lower cost? Would you also like to work in an ambitious team and continue your personal and content development? Then you are the Manager Pension Transformation we are looking for!

What will you be doing?

As a Manager Pension Transformation, you will contribute to the successful implementation of challenging (digital) transformation projects at several prominent pension organisations. You will help stakeholders proactively identify and mitigate risks that could threaten the success of these transformation projects. You will take on the role best suited to the specific situation, such as project manager, project risk manager, coach, PMO, or quality controller.

As a Manager of Pension Transformation, you will deal with such things as:

  • Conducting ‘deep dive’ assessments on the manufacturability and feasibility of a project plan and/or the solution to be implemented.
  • Managing the design, development, and implementation of digital solutions for clients and supporting their integration into clients’ existing technology landscapes.
  • Programme management and PMO, based on a variety of methodologies from ‘waterfall’ to more Agile ways of working, aimed at effectively delivering the business case while managing the risks of overruns, defects, and non-compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Working with other technology-focused PwC teams focused on data-related services, including data management, data design, and data technology solutions.
  • Coaching junior colleagues to develop their technical, management, and consulting skills.
  • Helping the wider team to develop opportunities with new and potential clients by engaging with them and developing innovative assurance activities based on their needs.
  • Building trust relationships with clients’ key stakeholders and challenging them in a range of areas. (You will play the role of ‘critical friend’ to clients, holding up a mirror to help them move forward.)
  • Transformation in the pension sector does not go down the beaten track, which means you need to be creative to get your clients on board.

At PwC, you will be part of a dynamic, international, and multidisciplinary team of experts. Together with your colleagues, you will demonstrate professionalism to our clients. This means taking on a leading and coordinating role. You will help PwC optimise its knowledge, methods, and tools. You will also coach your (junior) colleagues to help them develop the necessary skills and content knowledge.

Does this describe you?

You have at least five years of relevant work experience in digital and other change projects, for example as a consultant, IT auditor, operational risk manager, project manager, or project (risk/quality) officer. Commercial experience is an advantage.

  • You have a completed university degree, preferably in business administration/industrial engineering and management, organisational science, change management, information management, information technology, or psychology.
  • You have knowledge of or affinity with financial services and related regulations in the areas of the Pension Agreement, Duty of Care, ESG, and/or COBIT.
  • You have a background in IT, information management, and/or change management and practical experience with:
    • Project management, analytical skills, and organisational skills.
    • Understanding of Prince2 or Agile processes.
    • Knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), or CIMA-, IIA-, or CISA-qualified.
    • Working on IT change programmes or advising clients on how to improve their IT operations.
    • Implementing or advising on IT transformation projects and programmes.
  • You are people-oriented and socially adept in political, dynamic, and complex environments. You are also creative when it comes to managing stakeholders.
  • You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams.
  • You are able to prepare powerful reports and presentations, for example for (senior) management.
  • You are a go-getter with a passion for your work.
  • Finally, you have good commercial skills.

  • a fully equipped, ergonomic home office with a second monitor;
  • a monthly Internet allowance;
  • an electric lease car/attractive mobility scheme, laptop, and iPhone;
  • 32 days’ holiday a year;
  • hybrid working at the client, at home, and at the office;
