What will you do?

As a Cost Controller you will work together intensively with stakeholders on all levels. In this role you will be responsible for adequate cost recognition and accrual management in order to deliver timely and relevant cost reporting regarding performance and latest estimates. You will play an active role in transitioning the cost control function within the organization by streamlining and further automating the administrative processes related to NIBC’s operating expenses.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Correct and accurate accounting of NIBC’s OPEX related matters
  • Prepare, analyze and explain periodical (monthly and yearly) internal cost reporting and cost budget figures
  • Proactively challenge and collaborate with our business partners on budget, forecast and cost efficiency matters
  • Identify opportunities for cost improvements and provide advice to management
  • Participate in projects to streamline and further automate the administrative processes to improve internal information systems, reports and internal procedures

Your team

You will be part of the Management Reporting team, which is an engaged and diverse team consisting of 10 people ranging from the age of 22 to 45. It is in our nature to cooperate, complement and reinforce each other. Next to cost control the team is also responsible for all internal financial reporting to the Managing Board, forecasting, rating agency updates and ESG reporting.

Preferred profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree with a financial background
  • Starter or a maximum of 3 years experience
  • Analytical and accurate
  • Team player and positive attitude
  • Strong social and communication skills to all levels within the organisation
  • Ability to deal with ad hoc requests, often with tight deadlines
  • Affinity or experience with business intelligence tooling like Power BI or SAP BO
  • Fluent in English and willing to learn Dutch
