Triodos Energy Transition Europe Fund is one of the 7 funds within the Impact Private Debt & Equity (IPD&E) domain of Triodos Investment Management. The Fund is primarily focused on providing equity and mezzanine financing for renewable energy projects and growth equity for companies active in the renewable energy sector in Europe.

Currently, we are looking for a Fund Manager.

As a Fund Manager you lead the strategic positioning and the development of this uniquely positioned fund together with the head of the investment team and the investment managers. In this broad role you will represent the fund and Triodos IM and to work closely together both with sales and the investment management team to generate impact and solid returns within the prospectus guideline of the fund.

Profile

How you will make a difference

The position covers a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, such as:

  • Being the face of the fund to the investor community, presenting, reporting and communicating about the fund with a range of professional investors
  • Being an ambassador of the Triodos vision on Renewable Energy
  • Portfolio construction and maintaining a well-diversified portfolio in line with the strategic asset allocation and impact-risk-return profile of the fund
  • Managing and balancing the liquidity of the portfolio and its investments
  • Building networks, driving pipeline and reviewing opportunities supporting the Investment team
  • Monitoring the investments prepared by the investment teams through regular reviews
  • Play a key role in the strategic development of the fund, in collaboration with the Sales team, Triodos IM management board and other stakeholders
  • Supporting reviews of the fund, considering how to improve the structure and potentially support the launch of new models / fund structures
  • Coordinating with staff departments providing services to the fund, including finance, control, portfolio administration, marketing & communication, legal, tax, risk and compliance

  • Extensive experience of the renewable energy sector in Europe
  • Strong commercial and entrepreneurial skills; building relationships and a deal-oriented attitude, excellent communication and networking skills
  • Inquisitive by nature with an eye for new developments in the sector and the ability to convert this into opportunities for the fund
  • A solution focused attitude, pragmatic and with good business acumen
  • A flexible and “hands on” approach

The position requires:

  • Experience in portfolio/fund management. You have worked as a fund or portfolio manager
  • Demonstrated affinity with and network in renewable energy in Europe
  • Renewable Energy Project equity and/or growth equity experience
  • Strong financial modelling, excel, analytical and research skills (including the ability to analyse financial reports, sector data, macroeconomic and relevant political events)
  • Highly organized individual, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders and managing multiple workstreams in parallel while working to deadlines and managing time effectively
  • University degree with a master’s in finance, Economics, Corporate Finance, accounting degree or equivalent. CFA, or MBA would be an additional advantage
  • Experience with maintaining and developing investors relations and attracting new investors
  • Fluency in English both orally and in writing
  • Applicants must be nationals of a European member state or have a valid work permit for the European Union
  • Willingness to travel within Europe on regular basis
