Our client Forbion is a Life Sciences specialist venture fund manager with headquarters in Naarden, the Netherlands, and offices in Munich, Germany, and Singapore. Since its start in 2006, the Forbion platform has raised well over €2bn in capital commitments, split between two distinct Forbion strategies as well as the early-stage strategy of BGV ( Forbion invests in life sciences companies specializing in drug discovery & development addressing substantial unmet medical needs. For the Naarden office, they are seeking reinforcement in the form of a Financial Accounting Manager to supplement the clients finance team.

• Be part of a dedicated and professional team
• Financial accounting and reporting (both internal and external) of the various entities
• Fund and financial accounting of funds under management
• Take part in the quarterly valuations of our portfolio companies
• Preparation of financial statements
• Budget and cash flow planning
• Preparation and execution of fund related transactions
• Preparation of filings and reporting to regulators DNB/AFM/SEC
• Pro-active decision support on financial company matters
• Decision support on fund portfolio and potential investments
• Maintain and optimize procedures and internal controls
• Maintain relations with external parties being: investors, (fiscal) advisors, auditors, and banks

• Down to earth personality with a fair dose of humor

• Accurateness and analytical skills
• Enthusiasm and flexibility as a team player
• Bachelor or Master degree, preferable Business Economics/Accounting
• At least 3 years relevant work experience
• Good direct communication (and presentation) skills
• Fluency in Dutch and English (bonus points for German and other languages)
• Some knowledge or at least affinity with venture capital
• Knowledge of Dutch GAAP (IFRS is a plus)
• Common corporate legal and fiscal knowledge
