What will you do?

The General Manager Maintenance is responsible for the optimal functioning of machines and production-related installations at both the Roermond and Maasvlakte locations. You will set the strategic maintenance policy and ensure its implementation. You will act as the point of contact for various external parties regarding maintenance of primary assets and installations. In addition, you have a strong facilitating role in the realization of internal conversion and investment projects. You will be in frequent contact with external parties such as suppliers, certification agencies, and consulting firms, as well as the management and internal organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Develop and establish operational, tactical, and strategic policies, including a multi-year plan for budget, innovations, process improvements, and technical developments, and get these approved by the COO;
• Create a long-term planning and ensure the necessary capacity and resources needed for work to be performed. Monitor the budget, progress, quality, and capacity;
• Responsible for analyses to support investment decisions, taking into account costs, revenues, priorities, and feasibility for the company;
• Prepare investment proposals for the management. Advise and support with regard to order preparations and conversions within your own area of focus;
• Support Facilities in large projects (including renovation, renovation, or new construction) and ensure the maintenance of production machines, installations, and inventory;
• Commission research from external parties to obtain/expand machine and installation safety certificates;
• Maintain adequate administration and provide Management with steering information and reporting;
• Manage assigned budgets and propose cost control measures.

Bringing in:

• HBO/WO level, supplemented with knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and technical business administration;
• Knowledge of maintenance concepts, planning methods, business cases, and budgets;
• Knowledge of tendering and project management of facilities and civil projects;
• Knowledge of laws and regulations regarding facility installations (such as gas storage, construction work);
• Proficiency in English and German.
