Functieomschrijving

We are looking for a postdoc with an interest in the fields of marketing, hydrology, and sustainability to join the EU funded ClimEx-PE project (Climate Extremes buffering through groundwater flow-based Managed Aquifer Recharge and Public Engagement).

Your job
The ClimEx-PE project (Climate Extremes buffering through groundwater flow-based Managed Aquifer Recharge and Public Engagement) proposes to integrate natural groundwater flow systems into Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) – a nature-based solution that can intentionally recharge aquifers, mitigate water scarcity, and preserve ecosystems. In collaboration with the faculty of Geosciences, we will address this issue by exploring stakeholder value perceptions and developing suitable communication formats to foster stakeholder collaboration on MARs.

For this European project, we work with scientists from various fields and institutions: ELTE Eötvös Loránd University Budapest, the University of Barcelona, Trinity College Dublin, and the University of Zaragoza.

Research methods include a systematic literature review of the relevant knowledge base, qualitative research methods such as case studies, semi-structured interviews, and archival document analysis.

The successful candidate will also assist in education and thesis supervision related to the research topic (e.g. marketing) offered in the Utrecht University School of Economics (U.S.E.) education programme during the course of the appointment. The successful candidate will be part of the section Entrepreneurship at U.S.E.
