Data Analyst Transaction Monitoring

As a Data Analyst Transaction Monitoring you can have societal impact by providing data insights about the Rabobank transactions of 8+ million customers to your colleagues, enabling them to make data-driven decisions in catching criminals.

You and your job
Preventing Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing are one of the key aspects for our society and our organisation, and as a bank we play a major role in this field. To be effective in fighting financial crime, we need smart individuals like yourself who get their energy from looking into data, patterns, and behaviour of our customers to uncover illegal activities. Together with the team you will be responsible for providing data insights about our current Transaction Monitoring (TM) system to enable further optimization of the system.

As you can imagine, doing this job requires analytical, visualization and communicative expertise and if done successfully, will make sure that our operational analysts are able to focus on the true positive alerts – hence spend their time on truly value-adding activities. In summary, in this role you will be on the front line of fighting financial crime.

Practical Examples

  • Estimate the impact of proposed changes to parameters in the TM model on the efficiency of the model.
  • a TM rule tuning dashboard such that it will be easier to optimize the parameters of our TM system;
  • an overview dashboard that will give more insight in our TM system
  • Dive into the data to answer business questions such as: how many customers use their account as a cash pass-through?

Facts & Figures

  • 36 hours per week
  • 9,5 million customers with transaction data to analyze
  • 43,822 Rabobank colleagues around the world

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Performing analyses from start to finish: doing the intake, writing your code, visualizing the insights and presenting it back to the stakeholders.
  • Designing and developing dashboards which enables rule tuning
  • Functioning as counterpart for less data-savvy colleagues and stakeholders. You help them to ask the right questions, suggesting analyses to help them answer their questions and by inspiring them with data/insight opportunities you discover

Together we achieve more than alone
We believe in the power of difference. Bringing together people's differences is what makes us an even better bank. So we are very curious about what you can bring to our team in the Tribe FEC Tech.
