• Understands the BU market dynamics sets the agenda for the Sales Excellence program, requirements and priority settings • Contributes to the execution of sales pipeline and profitability targets established by the BU and PCUs through management of the agreed commercial and sales excellence program • Design and implement the global standard sales process across Industrial Coatings and lead process maturity and continuous process improvements. • Embeds commercial process maturity and competencies improvements in the BU through training and coaching

Responsibilities

1. In agreement with the management team the SX Manager proposes and executes the Sales Excellence program for the BU • Managing and continuously improving the different systems and processes and ensuring that they connect; CRM, SAP, IBP, Selling Process & Sales Process Steps, Customer Engagement Programs, AOP • Strong focus on sales processes, driving sales pipeline management implementation, ensuring sustainable embedding of management processes and tools. 2. Ensures the required processes and tools are available for transparency and reporting on progress – up to date Farming (C2S measurement) and Hunt (CRM) processes and reporting 3. Defines action plans for process maturity and competency improvements in the Sales Excellence Program. Drives Capability building projects for Sales by taking ownership on the training, learning and development and deployment roadmap for the BU 4. Monitors the Sales Excellence program performance of each of the PCUs - coaches’ staff to drive deliver of agree targets and KPIs. Regular relevant reporting to the BU MT, and PCU teams. 5. Supports the implementation and effective use of CRM – building the sales process into CRM. Details the CRM program to define the improvements in processes and process maturity and training needs of sales and marketing teams. 6. Prepares and provides monthly and quarterly Sales Excellence information to Management Team and PCUs. 7. Assists BU Sales Management and Key Account Management with the organization around strategic accounts. 8. Supports the Sales colleagues in continuous improvement of BU Sales processes including systems (CRM/SAP/IBP), monitors the sales pipeline, and performance management, sales efficiency and competency training programs. 9. Supports the Commercial and Sales activities of the BU, through the PCUs, by acting as a subject matter expert; • Acts as an ambassador and encouraging talent processes and engagement. • Supports commercial leadership by ensuring job profiles are in place, advising on objective setting 10. Supported by HR, sets and leads the commercial training and development agenda leveraging the competency framework in the BU and identifying and addressing key capability gaps

What do you need to have to be successful in this role?

Education/Experience • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business/Finance/Economics • 10+ year experience in a International commercial environment • At least 5-7 years of experience with sales process and improvement • Experience with Master Data Management / CRM system • Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken • Project management skills; Demonstrates the discipline of planning, organizing and managing resources and activities to achieve specified outcomes within a clearly defined timeframe and standards.

Extra skills

• Direct selling and account management experience is critical • Stakeholder management, project & program management • Excellent conceptual thinking skills with a high capacity to deal with complex, multi-dimensional (cross functions - cross processes - cross system) topics • High degree of initiative and independent and conscientious operation – CI / Results oriented • Understanding of critical business, sales and commercial processes (7 steps sales process(s)) and financial concepts related to cost to serve • CRM experience, affinity with related data management systems as SAP BI is critical • Experience with global IM implementations is a plus • Experience and understanding of commercial processes, in multi-country businesses and working with multi-cultural commercial teams • Experience in the implementation of change and conducting training • This position will require travel 5-10% across the world
