We are DS Smith and we are looking for a Local Finance Reporting Analyst for our Benelux organization, based in the Netherlands.

The purpose of the role is to manage and ensure completion of the local reporting, on time and in line with local/legal and tax reporting requirements. You will work with finance professionals within our Benelux organisation and beyond at Group level as well. You are encouraged to further deliver standardisation and process optimisation via continuous improvement using LEAN principles. You report directly to a Dutch based Senior Reporting Manager.

Your key responsibilities:

• Take on local finance reporting, this includes: statutory reporting, tax reporting, corporate tax analysis, fiscal calculations, statistical reporting and environmental tax reporting.
• Provide payroll control and validation. You would also collect and validate data for work related cost schemes & support in giving advice on IAS19 Employee Benefits.
• Help drive the compliance with local law, rules, guidelines and regulations
• Assist the Senior Reporting Manager with managing corporate tax affairs and query resolutions. You also are involved in developing the necessary relationships with Tax authorities.
• Develop good relationships with stakeholders in the organisation, both at local (Benelux) and international (Group Finance & Tax) level.
• Collaborate closely with Group Tax team and External Tax Consultant(s).

Profile:

• Ideally you have a first couple of years experience as a certified Accountant
• Excellent Excel knowledge
• Strong interpersonal skills with confidence to challenge appropriately
• Strong analytical skills & problem-solving ability
• Hands-on approach, actively drive and support continuous improvement, using lean principles
• Structured approach and the ability to prioritise
• Communication skills, both in Dutch and English (verbal and writing)
• Flexibility to travel on occasion
