The Business Analyst’s role is to capture market, customer and competitor information and convert these into insights and recommendations for the organization and support the development and validation of Sonion’s value propositions and product development decisions of Product Management, R&D and Sales.

The Business Analyst is part of Sonion’s Product Management & Strategy team, reporting to the VP of Product Management & Strategy, and will be based in our office in Hoofddorp, Netherlands

Your tasks and responsibilities will include

Market intelligence and insights:

• Collect and analyze market intelligence for Sonion’s markets;
• Structure market information, draw initial conclusions and summarize into insights;
• Maintain and develop Sonion’s Industry Analysis using internal and external sources;
• Communicate market intelligence e.g. on the quarterly Market Insights meetings;
• Scout for and procure high quality relevant market reports;
• Coordinate ad hoc requests and tasks coming from the Sales and R&D teams.

Business, Customer and Competitor analyses:

• Carry out analysis of financial, product, and market research to support strategy and business planning, incl. identifying potential problems and opportunities;
• Develop and maintain the Sonion Market model(s) and Share-of-Wallet analyses;
• Collect market and financial information from competitors and structure information to assess their performance and suggest the impact on Sonion;
• Compile customer information such as reports, news articles, earnings, press etc. to assess impact for Sonion and recommend potential actions;
• Support Product Managers and Consumer Centricity in research and data modelling;

Communication:

• Communicate effectively and build relations with Sales team and TAM team;
• Present findings and insights in for colleagues and customers when relevant.

Your profile

• Bachelor or Master in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or similar;
• Experience from technology driven industries is a plus;
• Solid analytical skillset incl. mathematics, finance and statistics;
• A driven team player with lots of curiosity;
• Strong verbal and written communication in English;
• Highly experienced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
