Analytics Model Risk Specialist

As an Analytics Model Risk Specialist you help Rabobank to bring the analytics maturity to the next level. You enable all departments to accelerate, scale and unlock the real value of analytics for their business.

You and your job

In this role you are part of the Analytics Competence Centre (ACC) and your focus is on Model Risk Management for Analytics Models.

As a team we are committed to create an analytics vision and strategy which allows the use of the full potential of our portfolio (>75 million euros in extra structural revenue, less costs or social value creation e.g. reducing our carbon footprint), roll out one way of work for analytics to accelerate and improve data-driven product development , data & analytics literacy, delivering a Lab platform capability as the foundation for data science and analyst teams throughout Rabobank to use, and delivering a Model Risk Management procedure for our area in specifically.

Our team is also focussing on Responsible AI, Green Data & Analytics, Generative AI as well as translating Data & Privacy, IT, Architecture and Business components into clear requirements and activities to be integrated in our user friendly interface for a Development team to act upon. Although you focus on Model Risk Management, you have the freedom to elaborate and contribute to the other topics as well.

Practical examples

  • Implement a Model Risk Management procedure for the tribe Data & Analyticsand the business domains we work closely with.
  • Contribute in the creation of Model Monitoring Capability for advanced analytics (e.g. AI) models.
  • Perform Quality Assurance for tribe Data & Analytics models to maximize the quality of output and in future also other D&A related tribes.
  • Help Development teams to understand what further activities must take place at what moment in time during the development and operations of an analytics solution by using the Analytics Way of Working as a reference.
  • Guide model stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a model and the possible risks that could arise.
  • Align different Rabobank parties like Model Governance, Model Validation, IT, Architecture etc. on Model Risk Management practicesfor advanced analytics models.

You and your talent

  • 3+ years working experience within data analytics/science environment or risk consulting background.
  • Experience with (Advanced) Analyticsespecially statistical model development, monitoring or validation. Experience with model development in a regulatory environment is a plus.
  • Affinity with Model Risk or Risk Management in general, consulting work and change management. Affinity with AI algorithms is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation and advisory skills, ability to work in a planned manner, accuracy is required to deliver high quality work and operate in a complex, dynamic environment.
  • Energy and enthusiasm for working in a creative and pioneering environment. Ability to negotiate and influence for introducing new or achieving common solutions
  • Social skills, team player, right balance between talking and listening, able to connect different kinds of people.
  • Fluent English proficiency and Dutch fluency is a plus


This is what we offer you

  • A 36-hour workweek with a gross monthly salary in scale 9 (€ 4068 - € 5811) depending on your experience.
  • An employee benefit budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • An OV-business card or fixed monthly travel allowance.
  • Hybrid working: we work 1 or 2 days a week from the office.
  • A personal development budget of €1400.
