SOX Specialist

About the job

Have you been working in SOX for several years, are you very meticulous, do you have experience with SOX reports, and looking to specialize in this area further? Then we are looking for you!

To expand the HR team BeNe (Belgium, the Netherlands) we have created a new role and are therefore looking for an SOX Specialist that is experienced in doing and overseeing SOX control, as well as stakeholder management!

In this role, you will work at our head office in Eindhoven, where hybrid working applies. You will work closely with your HR, Finance and SOX colleagues and report directly to the HR Operations Manager.

What You Do On a Typical Day

  • Drive and manage internal control and SOX compliancy for several business cycles.
  • Implementing effective controls for financial reporting related risks identified
  • Manage internal control deficiencies when / where incurred and ensure that deficiencies are timely resolved by the organization. Setup and maintain a professional relationship with the key stakeholders within the relevant cycles.
  • Define and participate in business projects that impact internal control and the control framework.
  • Gain an in depth understanding of the business cycles and define the relevant risks and controls.
  • Define principles for designing executing & reviewing controls.
  • Train personnel involved on SOX requirements.

What You Need To Succeed At GXO

  • HBO working and thinking level and at least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Must have previous experience in a SOX environment, with the ability to perform controls.
  • Need to have Finance understanding.
  • You are very strong in Excel and preferably have some experience with Visma and Protime.
  • You work very meticulously, perform well under pressure, flexible and self-sufficient.
  • You have a perfect command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing.
