Job Description & Summary

A career within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach. We focus on using the latest technology to reduce the level of manual testing ensuring you’ll focus on the most valuable areas of client service and on enhancing corporate governance and the reliability of our clients’ information.

Do you (almost) have your research university degree in a business or IT field? Are you eager to express your bright ideas within a large international organisation where you'll have many opportunities to develop both professionally and personally? PwC offers you a unique opportunity to get started as a Digital Transformation Consultant. Are you ready to get your career off to a flying start?

In our Digital Transformation team, we work on complex change processes (e.g. a deal, IPO or organisational change) where the impact of new laws and regulations (e.g. CSRD, ESEF), reporting rules and reporting requirements play a crucial role.

During these processes, we help our clients shape digital and IT strategies, streamline processes and improve reporting to transition to a future-proof business model.

What will your work involve?

As a Digital Transformation Consultant, you will mostly operate in multidisciplinary teams (including deals & technical accounting experts, ERP & technology specialists, software developers and data analysts) to successfully execute challenging digital transformation projects. Your role for a particular project will be the one best suited to the specific transformation project: from strategic reorientation, to choosing technology, to actual implementation and process optimisation.

Your work environment is dynamic and ranges from working at a client's offices or at the PwC office to the flexibility of working from home. To meet the needs of our clients, we continuously invest globally in the development of our team members, our skills and the innovative tools that we use to help our clients transform sustainably and stay ahead of the competition. This leads to many opportunities to develop yourself into a trusted boardroom advisor.

If you start in this position, it also means we have a place for you within our One Assurance Academy. This is PwC's internal academy to give ambitious starters like you a flying start. This academy offers you the unique opportunity, together with a group of starting colleagues from different specialisms and backgrounds, to further develop your soft and hard skills, because at PwC we believe that together you arrive at the best solutions.

As a Digital Transformation Consultant the activities that you will be working on include:

  • Developing and shaping digital and IT strategies and solutions along with the associated road maps for the client, which are necessary for the success of the digital transformation (e.g. during an IPO or major transformation).
  • Working out business requirements (functional and non-functional) in a multidisciplinary team to optimise the organisation, processes, systems and reporting.
  • Advising clients on how to optimise their financial reporting processes and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Identifying operational and financial risks and implementing and/or automating controls.

At PwC, you will be part of a dynamic, international, and multidisciplinary team of experts. Together with your colleagues, you will excel in our clients’ environments. You will also help to optimise our knowledge, methodologies and tools.

Does this describe you?
You are eager to learn and keen to expand your knowledge of emerging technologies (including GenAI, Cloud & RPA) and (financial) business processes. You are also ambitious and want to solve complex problems and make an impact at our clients. You are people-oriented and enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams.

  • You have completed your master’s degree at a research university in business information management, innovation management, business administration, industrial engineering & management or similar.
  • Or you are following a master’s variant of business economics, financial management or finance & accounting, but have an affinity with IT, digitalisation and information management.
  • You are motivated to advise clients on how to optimise their IT operations, financial & operational processes, associated systems & controls.

What are we offering?
We believe in the power of an inclusive culture and we want everyone to feel free to be themselves. We offer access to the PwC global network, where you can exchange knowledge, ideas and questions with experienced professionals regarding Digital Transformation and other disciplines. We also offer you:

  • numerous training sessions and courses that contribute to your personal and professional development, such as RA, RC, digital analytics and (agile) project management training;
  • an appropriate salary and extensive employment conditions , including a well-being budget . This is a personal annual budget of €1,000 to spend on your health, for example on mindfulness, sport, lifestyle coaching, wellness, and noise-cancelling headphones;
