We are looking for someone who wants to focus on monitoring and reporting on the legal proceedings within Triodos Bank and who would also like to deal with the data and IT aspects within Legal.

Legal Operations Officer

32-40 hours per week

What’s your focus

  • be Triodos Bank Group's central operational point of contact for all claims handling and legal proceedings within Europe, and you will be responsible for:
  • Knowledge management
  • The operational handling with the handling of the external lawyers
  • The monitoring and reporting of costs
  • Monitoring and managing judgments and, where necessary, editing them for further processing
  • Data management (thinking along, keeping it up-to-date, adjusting the database, etc.)
  • The (digital) file management
  • creating progress and risk reports
  • providing support and training to users of the software used
  • to advise and support:
  • the Group Legal department with all kinds of administrative, procedural and legal activities
  • the work related to the Group Legal databases and participate in new Legal-Tech developments

How you will make a difference

This is you

  • A strong connection to Triodos Bank's values and mission.
  • University/HBO (legal) working and thinking level.
  • Preferably 3 years of relevant experience with legal proceedings.
  • A great affinity with IT and law.
  • You are a creative person with writing skills.
  • You can work independently as well as in a team.
  • You enjoy learning new things.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft 365 applications, especially PowerPoint, MS Teams, Access, SharePoint, Excel and possibly also in other (database and file management programs.
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills in English and Dutch.

This is complemented by:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal legal teams, compliance officers, and other departments to gather information and support.
  • Familiarity with case support tools and technology for document management, e-discovery, and case tracking.
  • Open, communicative person, who likes to think along, easy in sharing knowledge, information and ideas.
  • Analytical thinker, who uses intellect for sound risk assessment and solution-oriented advice, who dares to make decisions, makes choices.
  • Result-oriented, tenacious, hands-on and well organized, even under pressure and in hectic times.

The team

The General Legal Affairs Team is directly managed by the Head of General Legal Affairs. This team currently consists of three employees within Legal Operations and five Legal Counsels. We are responsible for day-to-day legal support at group level and for supporting the local legal teams with our knowledge of rules and regulations at European level in relation to Triodos Bank Group's organisational non-directly product activities. Together with other Legal teams, the team is part of Triodos Bank Group's wider Legal Community, consisting of around 40 colleagues. You will report to the Head of General Legal Affairs and act independently within your responsibilities.
