To strengthen the Data Office department, we are looking for a

Data Privacy Expert (32 - 36 hours a week)

The Data Privacy Expert is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data privacy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations (we are situated in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Spain and Germany). You will work closely with various departments to assess data processing activities, identify privacy risks, and recommend and implement measures to mitigate those risks.

Take action

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive data privacy policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and our corporate social responsibility
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential privacy risks
  • Monitor and assess the organization's data processing activities, ensuring compliance with GDPR and other relevant local regulations
  • Provide training and awareness programs to employees to foster a privacy-aware culture within the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate privacy considerations into the design and development of systems and products
  • Lead incident response activities for privacy breaches and data subject requests, including investigation and coordination with relevant authorities

Profiel

This is you

You are a professional in the field of data privacy, driven by a mission to strategically align privacy practices with corporate social responsibility. Your role is pivotal in crafting and executing policies that not only ensure regulatory compliance but also elevate our corporate responsibility standards.

This is complemented by:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in privacy, law, or a related field or equivalent working experience
  • Communication skills (written as well as verbal) in English
  • Proven experience in data privacy, with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant role
  • A curious, enthusiastic, open, pro-active and optimistic person with a hands-on and learning attitude
  • Expert knowledge of GDPR
  • Knowledge about data management is a pre
  • Demonstrable affinity with the mission and values of Triodos Bank

The team The Data Privacy Expert team is part of the Data & Analytics department. The Data & Analytics department is a new international emerging team. You will report to the Group Director Data & Analytics.
