We are looking for an eager Senior Financial Controller who wants join Rituals in supporting our important and dynamic Central Europe region and establish further growth

YOU ARE ALL ABOUT

As a Senior Financial Controller Central Europe your main focus will be our entities in the Nordic (Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark). You will be assisting in executing the financial close, closely collaborating with the accounting assistants who execute most of the journal entries, while taking ownership of the more complex analysis yourself. Also you will have an important role in the preparation of (local) statutory statements, the tax compliance (CIT + VAT) and other finance-related issues (eg POS compliance). Furthermore you will participate in different Financial Control projects. You report into the Manager Financial Control Central Europe. The Financial Control team of Central Europe is, next to the Nordic countries, also responsible for the BeNeLux and UK and Ireland. This team consists of five persons (including you and your manager).

Being in close contact with local staff while doing the analytical review of the P&L and balance sheet, you also investigate variances and validate the numbers. It is your responsibility to deep dive into variances and ad hoc issues as your input is being used in the monthly and quarterly reporting and business reviews with the Country Director Nordic.

THIS IS YOU

High on energy, low on ego and with a little bit of humour. In addition, you are an ambitious, eager and talented financial. You thrive in a corporate, international setting and you are a team player. On top of it, you have:

• At least 5 years of work experience as a (senior) financial controller or as an (external) auditor.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Eligible to work in The Netherlands (working permit).
• HBO/WO degree in accounting or finance.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Grounded, approachable personality, critical yet constructive and positive.

You will spend most of your time at our Amsterdam Central Head Office. We hope you can appreciate the view of one of the most iconic Amsterdam canals.
