Finance Business Partner - Asset Maintenance

In this position you will be responsible for supporting the Asset Maintenance function with financial insights as a Finance Business Partner.

Asset Maintenance is a relatively new function which is rolling out an ambitious strategy which will be a game changer for APM Terminals. The Asset Maintenance function is taking control of our terminal assets and ensuring that we are accountable for their integrity, condition and reliability.

It’s an exciting time to join us as we are starting to reshape our Asset Maintenance organization from being a support function to being the backbone of having a safe & reliable operation, driving improvements and utilizing equipment in an efficient way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drives business performance and continuous productivity improvements across the organizational area through focus on performance metrics and indicators

  • Provides financial information and expertise to inform and challenge the organizational entity goals; contributes to business decisions, investment plans etc. by leaders, internal and external partners

  • Delivers and communicates the consolidated financials, financial metrics and business decisions to the leadership team on a routine basis.

  • Be a sparring partner to the asset maintenance function contributing with:
    • Data: Set global guidelines and principles ensuring consistent and transparent numbers for asset maintenance cost
    • Analysis: Prepare and present analysis of the performance of the asset maintenance function
    • Insight: Present and discuss business insights with recommendations of how and where to improve
    • Influence: Recommend and challenge basis on the data and your analysis
    • Impact: Lead performance improvements initiatives
    • Reports: Ensure a performance management system is in place help the asset maintenance function gain visibility of their performance

Who we are looking for

  • Financial education with outstanding academic results at Bachelor and Master levels

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, in roles like Financial Analyst, Finance Business Partner or Management Consultant

  • Stakeholder management skills

  • Flair for analysis and numbers

  • Get energy out of working with others

  • Never ending drive to improve the status quo
