Boone County Hospital (BCH), a 25-bed critical access hospital located 40 miles northwest of Des Moines, is partnering with WittKieffer on the search for their next Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

BCH seeks an experienced, collaborative, and dedicated finance leader to take responsibility for the financial operations of the hospital that includes oversight of accounting practices, fostering relationships with banking and lending institutions, and conducting thorough analyses to anticipate and plan for the organization’s future financial needs.

The CFO is a senior leadership position responsible for advancing BCH’s mission while directing the facility’s long-term and short-term financial planning process. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will have direct reports in the Business Office, Finance & Accounting, Health Information, Management, Materials Management, Patient Registration and Engineering & Environmental Services.

Boone County, Iowa is located is just 10 miles from Iowa State University in Ames and a short drive from Des Moines. Golfing, biking, hiking, camping, canoeing, fishing and great dining intermingle with shopping, museums and scenic train rides. Candidate Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree or CPA preferred.
• Minium of five years of prior management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting (Critical Access preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collections as they relate to healthcare.
• Proven strategic financial planning skills.
