All finance activities for the EMEA en LATAM region are centralized in the Shared Service Center in Rotterdam. The Regional Country Controller will join the Finance Central Controlling Group in Rotterdam with a team of 18 colleagues. You will be responsible for timely and accurate reporting of financial data for several countries and you will report directly to the Manager Accounting & Controlling.

Functie

• Responsible for timely and accurate financial reporting of financial data for several countries including the preparation of HQ reporting packages;
• Coordination of monthly, quarterly and year end close;
• Full country accounting, statutory and tax responsibility;
• Ensures all balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and timely reconciled;
• Primary point of contact for external and internal auditors and other financial consultants or authorities;
• Ensure compliance with Corporate Finance Policies, SOX and US GAAP;
• Collaborate with Internal Control for creation, changing and implementation of financial policies, procedures and financial controls;
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance to improve processes;
• Take part in international projects;
• Monitors, challenges and specifies improvements to business systems and practices to ensure continual adequate control and proper measurement of business activities;
• Reports on and comments upon movements in actual vs. budget, significant shifts in monthly P&L trends and Balance Sheet movements.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Finance & Control and/or Accounting;
• Preferably with an additional degree like ACCA, CMA or CPA;
• Relevant working experience in a similar position in an international company;
• Experience in a Shared Services environment is preferable;
• Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) are considered a plus;
• Excellent knowledge of English (verbal and written);
• Fluent knowledge of Italian.
