New vacancy: Programme Financial Controller

The Programme Financial Controller (internal title: IPT Financial Controller) is the senior finance lead for the Integrated Program team (IPT). They are a key business partner to the IPT lead and Key Customer FD.
In addition to management of the business plan, the Financial Controller and team provide financial insights that drive decisions, financial forecasts, and business plans. The role has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities for the program and its respective contracts. They drive financial performance through high quality decision support and FP&A, including overall P&L, sales and margin management, and close control over working capital

 

What you'll do

The Programme Financial Controller holds a strategic and tactical role in the business. As such, the key accountabilities of the role include: 

  • Delivering program level results by building a successful network, driving its performance and leveraging best practice,
  • Delivering program results by contributing financial and accounting insight, analysis, and recommendations,
  • Implementing strategies by evaluating trends; implementing critical measurements; designing systems; accumulating resources; resolving problems; implementing change,
  • Developing the organisation by identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement.
  • Developing financial strategies by forecasting cash (particularly working capital) and resource requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing and implementing action plans,
  • Monitoring financial performance by measuring and analyzing results; initiating corrective actions; minimizing the impact of variances,
  • Reporting financial status by developing forecasts; reporting results; analyzing variances; developing improvements,
  • Implementing and managing metrics and measurements to successfully manage, control and profitably grow the business,
  • Identifying, assessing and communicating risks and exposures and developing measures to effectively mitigate these on a timely basis.

What you'll bring

  • Demonstrated track record of success as a senior finance professional,
  • Recognised accounting qualification plus 5+ years PQE,
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team that is responsive and results-oriented,
  • Excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, pricing, business analytics and reporting,
  • Clear understanding of relevant technical accounting framework, 
  • Strong analytical skills, self-confident, go-getter, critical mindset,
  • Forward-thinking and ability to keep a global view regarding the business,
  • Ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, collaboratively and persuasively,
  • Good understanding of the Aerospace or similar manufacturing industry,
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel internationally when required.

What we'll offer

Next to this, the remuneration package for the Programme Financial Controller will consist of:

  • A monthly salary between € 6.742,- and 9.000,- gross (salary scale O), depending on your experience, 
  • 42 paid holidays based on a full-time employment (40 hours),
  • Working conditions according to the Collective Labor Agreement Metalektro, including an excellent pension scheme (PME),
  • Commuting costs allowance,
  • Opportunities to develop with trainings and educational programs,

Part of the selection procedure is carrying out the necessary checks and screenings in order to meet the requirements set by GKN Fokker's customers, partners and suppliers within the program. The checks and screenings will be assessed on the basis of frameworks set by our Export Compliance & Security department. Every employee within GKN Fokker must ultimately be authorized to give substance to his or her position. Assessment of checks and screenings can lead to the fact that no content can be given to the position and therefore no employment or deployment can follow. The onboarding at Fokker usually takes 3 weeks.

During the selection process, you will have a screening call with our Talent Acquisition Specialist and 1-2 interviews with the hiring managers either online or F2F.
