The Head of CDD Wholesale & Rural (W&R) is a new and critical role in ensuring that Rabobank consistently meets CDD requirements and effectively manages CDD risks in the global domain of W&R. In particular, there will be an active collaboration between the Head of CDD W&R and the regional/local CDD colleagues in order to create uniformity within the E2E process and way of working, as far as possible. Consequently, there will also be ongoing alignment with the colleagues within Retail as well as with De Lage Landen and Obvion. The role is also responsible for further development of one Global FEC CDD organization. Part of the Management Team FEC Global CDD that together is responsible for the end to end lifecycle of CDD controls for Onboarding, Reviews and Offboarding, including technology, risk management, strategy, processes and operations.

The Head of CDD W&R reports to the Global Head CDD and is involved in implementing and driving the FEC Global CDD strategy. A role with global impact.

Top 8 responsibilities

The Head of FEC CDD W&R is responsible for:

  • Lead of all CDD global lines (America’s, EMEA, Asia, RANZ) to ensure compliancy, FEC risk management and effective and efficient CDD Operations;
  • Point of contact for the CDD teams in the regions;
  • Ensure quality and realise improvement in design and execution. Ensure adequate follow up on quality enhancement initiatives and assessment results;
  • Ensure robust, simple and compliant CDD processing of CDD risks in the regions;
  • Responsible that the right metrics are available to keep track of performance of the regional CDD teams;
  • Keep track of findings and actions assigned to the regional CDD teams;
  • Work closely with the head of CDD Control Standards, CDD Higher Risk Customers and other relevant FEC departments;
  • Drive the CDD risk awareness in the regions, W&R subsidiaries and DLL together with FEC Business Advisory.

You and your talent

You recognise yourself in the following:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Law or Economics;
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience in a dynamic banking environment, with practical knowledge in the field of CDD/FEC related topics; International experience is a pre.
  • Strong in communication and able to bring complex matters to the fore in an understandable way;
  • Persuasive power and able to get things and people moving to achieve your goals;
  • Good at process-based thinking and simplifying things;
  • Driven to continuously keep your knowledge up to date with new developments in the industry;
  • Responding to regulatory programs;
  • Knowledge of FEC related laws and regulations;
  • Knowledge of risk management (1st, 2nd, 3rd line);
  • Analytically strong, customer-oriented, helicopter view;
  • Proactive, creative, structured, organizational sensitive and result oriented;
  • Implementation and realization power;
  • Ability to oversee issues and the interrelations within them from a broad context;
  • Language skills: fluent in English speaking and writing, pre is Dutch.

  • A SKB scale position in accordance with the Rabobank Social Labour Agreement (April 2024).
