Your new position as Vice President

Perform all aspects of pursuing new business opportunities, M&A transactions, project financings, due diligence, advise on deal structuring, and financial modelling. With your strong financial, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, you will lead transactions and manage teams in the execution of complex renewable financings.

Key Competencies:

The ideal candidate holds at least 5 years of relevant work experience in M&A, Private Equity, Accounting, Project Finance, Renewable Energy development and/or other related background. A university degree in mathematics, econometrics, economics, finance, business administration, engineering or equivalent is required (CA, MBA, CFA, CBV is an asset). The Vice President is expected to have the following capabilities:

• Crafting and delivering presentations to clients;
• Thorough understanding of corporate finance and accounting;
• Fluency in all facets of an M&A investment and/or debt financing processes, including overall project management, coordination of due diligence, financial and business analysis, valuation and transaction documentation negotiations;
• Leverage Voltiq’s network and develop and making use of their own network to identify and source new opportunities;
• A passion for working in a small, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment;
• Team-player attitude and collaborative personality;
• Demonstrated leadership skills: proactive, thoughtful, good listener, ability to handle conflict, and a high-level of emotional intelligence to credibly;
• Experienced in financial modelling, with the ability to coach juniors on financial modelling;
• Project management skills: overall coordination and managing deadlines, structured & efficient approach, professional attitude, attention to detail and persistent follow-through;
• Experience in renewable energy (development, contracting, structuring and financing) is considered as a plus; and
• Fluent in English language (oral and writing). Fluency in Dutch and/or German language is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Take a leading role in transaction pitches and client meetings;
• Develop transaction structures, ideas and pitches leading to the origination of new assignments/mandates;
• Take the lead in preparing teasers, information memoranda, and other marketing materials;
• Lead the team in the structuring, due diligence, negotiation and closing of M&A and structured finance transactions; Review and utilize financial models and prepare valuation analyses;
• Provide input and negotiate transaction documentation;
• Maintain contact with external parties (e.g. client and other advisors) during deal execution;
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, stakeholders, developers, banks, equity investors, and other advisory firms;
• Mentor and coach Associates, Analysts and Interns, and
• Manage deadlines to help team stay on track during a transaction, adapting to changing priorities as they arise.
