Finance Director Poultry

Are you passionate about driving improvements and performance? As Finance Director in Marel Poultry you will be a part of Marel Poultry’s leadership team and provide high quality management reporting and insights to facilitate decision making and support operational excellence, as well as running the monthly business review cycles.

The Finance Director reports to Executive Vice President of Marel Poultry with a dotted line to Marel’s CFO. You work closely with Marel Poultry’s leaders to execute the strategy of Marel Poultry and support Marel overall growth journey, being responsible for the P&L in Marel Poultry. The Finance Director is part of the Poultry Leadership Team and Financial Leadership Team of Marel. Together with your team of Finance Business Partner’s you provide support to drive the business from the strategic to operational level, run the forecasting process and always look for opportunities that will benefit Marel as a whole.

As part of your daily responsibility, you will:

  • Direct comprehensive financial performance analysis and quality narratives to gain insight into business trends, identify key business drivers and prepare business scenario plans
  • Implement a process of performance management, planning (S&OP) and forecasting in line with corporate requirements, financial best practices, global processes and a harmonized way of working
  • Initiate continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational excellence
  • Support commercial control, proposal review, risk- and credit management
  • Support financial review and -control of sales- and innovation projects
  • Optimize working capital and return on invested capital
  • Lead and develop people with an overall focus to achieve functional excellence and creating a culture of teamwork, continues learning, development, and improvements
  • Focus on attracting and retaining talent, by developing an engaged top-class team with an overall focus to achieve functional excellence

In order to be successful in this position, we expect you will have a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Economics or equivalent with solid experience in an international financial position on similar level (10+ years of experience).

Moreover, you bring with you:

  • Conceptual as well as practical experience in finance, controlling, forecasting and planning, as well as business performance management and measurements
  • Exceptional analytical abilities and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task and manage numerous simultaneous priorities
  • Expertise in business performance management, knows how to make conclusions presentable to achieve the desired impact (get the message across)
  • Ability to see the bigger picture, strong prioritization skills.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial laws and governance, and general management best practices
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, finance, resource allocation and human resources
  • Ability to focus at all times on doing what is in the best interest of Marel

Last but not least, you are a motivational and empowering leader and have strong stakeholder management skills. You have excellent presenting, communication- and storytelling skills, with the ability to communicate at different levels (and from different angles) within a matrix organization and work within multi-cultural environment.
