Business Overview

Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development, Investor Relations, External Relations, Sustainable Investment and Brand, Marketing & Communications, including Internal Communications.

It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects, existing investors and their asset consultants, as well as a broad range of other stakeholders, including governments and media .

The Role

  • Supporting with business development / fundraising for infrastructure equity and infrastructure debt in Nordics countries, with secondary focus on Benelux
  • Building and deepening technical knowledge and understanding of the infrastructure asset class and related IFM capabilities across the broader GCS team, investors and consultants
  • Responsible for the full investor due diligence process including bringing technical insights to investor deliverables
  • Accountable for executing on the strategy and meeting key fundraising targets while developing our presence and building the IFM brand
  • Support strategic initiatives, product development and distribution efforts with the broader EMEA GCS team
  • Act as a champion of the IFM platform to institutional clients and consultants in this region, working seamlessly with the broader EMEA GCS team
  • Ensure global connectivity with BDs in North America and APAC
  • Key requirements include team player with strong internal credibility with the investment teams and multi-constituent stakeholder management; technical knowledge of IFM’s infrastructure equity strategies; and deep understanding of the requirements of sophisticated investors globally with respect to infrastructure investment.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Accountable for executing on the Business Development strategy and meeting key fundraising targets, while developing our presence and building the IFM brand.
  • Compellingly articulate the breadth of the IFM platform across multiple asset classes.
  • Contribute to sales targets from existing and new clients.
  • Identify, pursue, manage due diligence processes, cross-selling and new selling opportunities.
  • Contribute to education, support, and effectiveness of BD and IR / RM team members
  • Prepare and make presentations to investors, prospects and asset consultant
  • Contribute to the development of marketing plans for successful fundraising for new products, projects and priority periods
  • Assist in the review of marketing materials to support business development strategies
  • Maintain detailed and accurate tracking data for prospects, consultants and existing investors including meaningful and timely recording of interactions on Salesforce and other IFM platforms

Relationship Management 

  • Manage relationships with infrastructure research teams at institutional investors, both existing investors and prospects
  • Grow IFM brand awareness and product penetration
  • Lead preparation for educational and prospect related investor meetings
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of responses to investor queries
  • Actively contribute in a positive and productive manner to the regional and global GCS team during busy periods
  • Build trust and effective working relationships across IFM and demonstrate strong integration between GCS and other IFM teams

Policy & Process Management

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of IFM’s products, investment processes and services, combined with investment market trends.
  • In-depth marketing and communication knowledge.
  • Grasps financial metrics and key performance drivers.
  • Provides feedback to IFM business units on market issues involving consultants, prospects, industry bodies and other general industry issues.

Your Background and Experience

  • 7-10 years of post-graduation experience
  • Infrastructure, Real Assets, Private credit experience
  • Experience working with sophisticated global investors
  • Proven ability to fundraise
  • Ability to plan and manage projects to meet objective
  • Tertiary qualified with a business or marketing focus, commerce, economics, finance or related field
  • Experience working with institutional investors in the Nordics Countries and Europe
  • Strong investment, financial and product knowledge
  • Knowledge of systems/databases containing investor & investment data
  • Well-developed technical skills in infrastructure investment, product development, real assets, private credit etc.
  • Ability to negotiate terms and conditions for new investor

  • Preferably fluent in Swedish or Danish
