Our client, a multinational corporation with approximately 5000 employees worldwide, is a chemical manufacturer located in the South of Holland. The Dutch facility has around 500 permanent employees, making it the second-largest production site within the global company. The company is offering solutions to its customers across a wide range of industries with products that define the market. Over the past few years, they have made significant progress and are at the forefront of the industry in terms of responsible manufacturing. The organization has achieved a significant milestone in its journey towards minimizing emissions as close to zero as possible.

Position
The organization is taking the industry lead in responsible manufacturing with the tremendous emission reductions they achieved. But they are never ready. This position is for those who want to make a difference in the biggest challenges the industry is facing. You will work on further emission reduction programs, be challenged by the authorities on the responsible manufacturing commitments and work on improving the safety culture. Your team consists 23 well educated and very motivated EHS professionals and you will lead them through the required change to new successes with your excellent people leadership skills.

Responsibilities
  • strategic EHS leadership;
  • develop your organization to a high performing team that plays a vital role for the site;
  • collaboration and communication;
  • incident response and investigation;
  • risk assessment and mitigation;
  • EHS Training and education.


Your profile

  • bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred;
  • 5+ years of proven experience in EHS management within a BRZO organization;
  • you distinct yourself in people leadership by coaching and managing people on their attitude and behavior;
  • you bring people and processes in motion by providing both structure and attention to your team.
