As a Legal Counsel working at Sunweb Group, you are the gate keeper to manage legal risks. Together with the other Legal Counsel you will advise on a wide range of legal topics, from corporate law to contract law and consumer protection law. You like working in an international setting and protecting the company’s reputation. Your experience makes you a reliable colleague and you are confident to operate on all levels within the company.

Your impact

As Legal Counsel, you manage the legal risks for the Sunweb Group whilst achieving the business goals in an international environment. Safeguard and design solutions to secure the company's compliance with laws and regulations, governance and contractual obligations.You'll be responsible for providing legal guidance and support to our organizationby advising and sharing information.

Responsibilities of the legal departmentinclude:

• Corporate governance, corporate law, regulations, entity management, compliance with shareholders guidelines, M&A and financing agreements
• Contracting (drafts, negotiates agreements in an accurate and timely manner, managing the contracting policies, advice on disputes), to protect interests, assets and IP of the company
• Compliance & advice on multiple other topics (consumer protection, privacy, integrity, IPR, insurance, employment, anti-trust)
• Managing and supporting (large) claims, director liabilities and litigations (with external counsels)
• Regulatory affairs (manage PTD requirements, insolvency protection, maintain contact with national travel associations)
• Managing a network of outside counsels in different countries on different legal disciplines
• Develop best practices & guidelines, create legal awareness, signals and advices to enhance quality

What skills will bring you to the top?

• Allrounder lawyer or legal counsel, with experience in corporate law & finance. Consumer- , privacy-, IT- and employment law are preferred. Experience in a travel or trading environment is a pre
• Minimum of 6 years experience within an (international) business environment, as in-house lawyer or in a law firm;
• Master's degree in Law (LLM or comparable degree)
  
• Fluent in Dutch and English
• Seasoned legal contracting skills
• Strong commercial awareness within legal boundaries; ability to connect with people and look beyond the legal scope whilst safeguarding the company’s compliance and reputation
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
