At the Amsterdam office, the focus is mainly on sustainability, technology and innovation, and transaction support. We work across a wide range of industry sectors such as energy, chemicals and materials, agri-food and clean tech.

As we intend to further develop our Amsterdam practice, we are looking for candidates with a Master’s degree. Consulting experience by means of an internship or in an entrance level is a plus .

We set high standards for the general profile of the candidate:

• Analytical thinker: thinks in a structured way and is original and creative in proposing solutions; completed relevant academic study with excellent results
• Communicator: has a natural ability to convince people of reasoned conclusions in a casual way;
• Socially engaged: he/she is pleasant to work with (for ADL colleagues and our clients), works well in a team;
• A proven capability to balance creative, strategic insights, the ability to rapidly & thoroughly understand new industries & technologies;
• Our Amsterdam office operates in a very international environment, where collaboration with other ADL offices is essential. Hence you need to be strong both verbally as in writing in both Dutch and English where you live in The Netherlands, preferably in the vicinity of Amsterdam-non Dutch speakers need not apply;
• Last, but not least, you must show unwavering personal integrity.

Qualifications

We offer candidates the opportunity to work in different teams on different projects, which can vary from the development of a growth strategy for a European technical wholesaler that requires a lot of quantitative market research, to conducting a sustainability study for an Asian chemical company in which the qualitative mapping of local legislation and interests is the starting point. In addition, Arthur D. Little is very active in the global M&A world, so you could also become part of a team that will determine the selling price of a food ingredient company that is about to be sold to an American investor.
