About the Role

The Head of Finance Shared Service Center is a critical leadership role within a young, dynamic, and international finance team. This position is dedicated to driving efficiency and professionalization at KG Team by overseeing and managing accounting and financial operations within a centralized service center for Belgium and the Netherlands. The primary responsibilities include ensuring timely period closing, the reliability of financial reporting, and acting as a key contact for the KG Team team. Moreover, the Head of SSC is accountable for tax matters, specifically VAT, and maintains a strong focus on governance and internal controls to ensure compliance and risk management. Close collaboration with the Market Operations team, Business Control team, Clinics, and KG Team is fundamental.

The SSC team currently comprises approximately ⚠ associates with varying levels of seniority. The Head of SSC reports to the Head of Finance for Netherlands/Belgium.

Your key responsibilities will include :

• Manage the team responsible for accounting activities and financial control functions, ensuring timely period closing and accurate financial reporting, and leading balance sheet reconciliations. (⚠ associates).
• Oversee and manage tax matters, focusing on VAT compliance and reporting.
• Manage and ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements for Belgium and the Netherlands.
• Establish and enforce robust governance frameworks and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and mitigate risks.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Market Operations, Business Control, Clinics, and the KG Team, to ensure effective financial processes and reporting.
• Act as a central point of contact and knowledge resource for financial inquiries within the group.
• Initiate and manage projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within the finance function.
• Minimum qualification as a Registered Accountant
• ⚠+ relevant working experience in Accounting or Controlling
• Key competencies: Building effective teams, Drives Engagement, Manages Ambiguity
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Critical thinking and a proactive approach.
