Job Description

We are seeking a Business Director, Energy Storage who will bring our Energy Storage activities to the next level. You will be responsible for translating our business and market insights into a cross business unit strategy and driving actions and results in this segment. You will lead this high impact initiative for the region working closely across business units, regions and functions. You feel at home in collaboration with commercial functions, but you are also not shy about collaborating with R&D and finance.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for full P&L of Energy Storage and the indirect management of multiple functional areas that may include some or all of the following functional: business development, marketing & communications, technical support and research & development.
• Translate business and market insights into a cross business unit strategy
• Create a long term roadmap to address unmet needs with products, services, and other value-added offerings in the Energy Storage segment.
• Coordinate and drive execution of this roadmap by leading and influencing across business units and functions
• Surface new ideas, products applications and solutions to development teams
• Communicate and link key value propositions
• Deliver short-term and long-term results in order to develop and maintain the organization’s credibility with the business and create opportunities for the Energy Storage segment to add greater value to the business.
• Participate in external events and end user calls/visits to understand market insights and trends and ensure our strategies are aligned to meet future needs.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, we seek a Business Director, Energy Storage who is strong in creating value, making connections and is curious.

• 10+ years related business experience, emphasizing sales, business development and marketing desired.
• 5+ years management experience required, with cross-functional management experience preferred.
• Experience and skills in monitoring, measuring and reporting on all aspects of business performance and management, with a passion for detail while never losing sight of the big picture;
• A track-record of effective organization change management;
• Strong experience in strategic leadership and driving execution needed
• Strong influencing and storytelling skills and ability to champion projects cross functionally and cross business unit
• An entrepreneurial mindset: resilient, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
• Detail oriented, project management and communication skills a must
• Creativity, out of the norm thinking around what is possible
• Advanced business and financial acumen needed.
• A demonstrated track record in developing and executing new business opportunities.
• Excellent interpersonal, written communications, and organizational skills
