Global Workday Lead

What are you going to do?
Your role as Global Workday Lead has a variety of responsibilities, such as:
•    Develop, lead, and maintain the Workday systems roadmap, driving the agenda in line with the business priorities and HR strategy. 
•    Collaborating with global process owners (Reward, Talent, Learning, Recruiting) to define technical requirements for functional implementations and system changes.
•    Managing the Workday optimization process, including triaging, planning, developing, testing and deploying improvements. 
•    Advising on and ensuring the consistency of all HR tools/systems regarding user experience, compatibility with other solutions and the overall vision.
•    Translating cross-functional business requirements (e.g. Ethics & Compliance-, IT-, Finance-, Health & Safety and HR requirements) into different HR solutions.
•    Implementing complex configuration changes to existing functionality using change management methodology. Assess configuration changes for impact on business processes, other system values, and integrations. Complete system and user acceptance testing, in close cooperation with Group IT where needed.
•    Supporting the use of Workday including HCM Workflows, Self Service, Compensation, Talent Management, Performance Management, Security, Recruiting, Learning.

Furthermore, as Global Workday Lead you will:
•    Coach and advise Reporting & Analytics Analyst in the use of Workday and conceptual use of different reporting tools to deliver insights into data.
•    Co-manage the 3rd line of support for HR users on Workday, ensure timely reaction of recorded problems, issue resolution and management of third-party support where needed.
•    Collaborate closely with the Workday Development and Support Specialist to identify and translate repetitive questions into structural solutions (e.g. training material, change of a process or procedural change).
•    Communicate new or modified functionality to stakeholders for training and operational impacts. Ensure basic training facility for (new joiners in) the HR community on Workday responsibilities and functionality.

We are looking to support our HR colleagues worldwide in an efficient and timely manner, making use of available tools and providing appropriate solutions and alternatives. In the coming years, we are looking to increase the knowledge of our HR colleagues worldwide significantly, specifically on the Workday system itself, its flows and functionality as well as how to best use the data.
The Global Workday Lead will play a vital role in strategically shaping our Workday landscape. To provide the best functionality, he or she will connect with various stakeholders (including Directors) and give them the opportunity to influence processes and solutions while ensuring the overall consistency and sustainability of our applications. With a sound understanding of our system’s technical possibilities and limitations as well as their functional impact, the Global Workday Lead can act as the bridge between functional- and technical matters and challenges.
As Global Workday Lead, you will be part of the enthusiastic HR Technology team, report to the Global HR Technology Manager and be based in our Amersfoort office.

What we ask
To succeed in this role, you need to be enthusiastic, pro-active and have significant knowledge of Workday. You understand cultural differences, have strong communication skills and are easily able to switch between different knowledge levels & perspectives. You are eager to learn and happy to share your knowledge with others. Due to the focus and setting you work in, you can work independently, are self-motivated, know how to prioritize your workload, take initiative and are comfortable in a constantly changing environment.

What you bring
•    You have a Bachelor’s degree.
•    You have at least 3-5 years experience with Workday (ideally within an international environment), specifically with 3-6 end-to-end Workday project implementations and with one or more of the following modules:
Talent, Performance, Learning (incl. Extended Enterprise Learning), Recruitment.
•    Experience with other modules (i.e., Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, Expenses, Workday Help, International Assignees) is an advantage.
•    Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
