If you also enjoy collaborating with global and regional teams to share knowledge and define standards, then you might be the perfect candidate for the role of Regional OT and Automation Manager at Bunge!

As an Automation Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

• Join our team and help us leverage technology to improve, streamline and automate our manufacturing processes
• Work closely with automation engineers and accelerated plants to plan, implement and monitor the technology solutions that support our operations
• Explore and implement new ways to automate systems, design and test automation equipment and processes, and integrate and communicate data between different network layers
• Become responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising the operational technology (OT) and automation solutions for our manufacturing sites; This will require close cooperation with local site automation engineers, global automation working group, and integrators to leverage technology use, optimize process control systems, increase quality assurance, improve energy consumption, and reduce maintenance downtime
• Ensure compliance with the OT global standards and security policies, as well as manage the activities related to OT in the region

The main coverage of automation will be for our sites in Finland, Poland, Hilter, Neuss, Rotterdam, Wormerveer, and Ghana. You can truly make an impact in this function as you will assess the current state of automation at each site and set the strategy and vision for the future. Furthermore, you will become involved in the expansion of our Fortress project, which will be our brand-new facility in Amsterdam.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor / Master’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering, computer science, or related field
• At least a few years' experience in OT and Automation in manufacturing and/or process control environments
• Proven project management skills, including the ability to control scope, cost, and schedule on all assigned projects
• Experience in developing standards, specifications, and data sheets related to EIA deliverables including power distribution, instrumentation and automation, and PLC integration. Design and installation experience with PLC and/or DCS systems
• Availability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, mainly to Germany and Poland, and occasionally to other sites
• Fluent in English, and preferably in German or Dutch as well
• Currently residing or willing to move to the Netherlands; We will also consider applicants residing in Germany

If you have the following knowledge, we will call you first:

• Knowledge of Hazardous Location rating assessments, VCA or other European safety certificates along with understanding of LOPA and HAZOP
• Experience in Siemens PCS7
• Experience in implementing Industry 4.0 projects
• Knowledge in OsiSoft PI, MCE/MDE/GCP or similar software to implement Industry 4.0
• Knowledge of EPLAN & AutoCAD
